What To Wear This Spring

Since lockdown is lifting and the seasons are changing people are slowly becoming less enamored by their sweatpants. It is time to adorn yourself in exciting new fashion styles. Spring is a time for exciting colors and clothes that are more joyful than your average hoody and sweats. If this change feels a bit too sudden there are some simple, easy, and yet fashionable ways to ease yourself into your new wardrobe. These looks will be ideal for trips to the park and drinks in your friend’s garden. So, whilst you are easing into socializing you can also ease into your spring wardrobe using the following tips.

Pastel Colors

The pastel is one of today’s most sought-after fashion trends. An array of powdery colors are gracing your spring garments this season. Colors that when styled together resemble soft cotton candy and a summer’s day. Mixing and matching these pastel hues together make an outfit pop, and is a great way to ease yourself into spring. The soft colors are exactly what everyone needs right now, especially after this intense year.

Whatever your style is, there is a way to incorporate pastel colors into it. They are calming in nature and evoke a sense of nostalgia, and you needn’t look further than your local high street as pastels are everywhere. Urban Outfitters, for example, has a huge array of these sweet and charming colors. If you are looking for a deal, check out Urban Outfitters discount codes to help cut the costs of your purchase.

Tie-Dye Tops

Another trend that should grace your wardrobe this spring is tie-dye. This had its heyday during the pandemic and 2020 when the world took to tie-dye tracksuits. However, with lockdown ending, tie-dye is still a fan favorite and will likely be revamped for season 2.  It is a print that everyone loves and can be so versatile in that every piece of clothing you own can be dyed. It evokes nostalgia, love, and the joy of the 60s. It is calming and a lot of fun at the same time, making it an all-around great trend.

There is one issue with tie-dye, however, and that is you can look like you are permanently living at a festival. So, for those who want a subtle reawakening this spring, why not add tie-dye tops to your new post-lockdown looks? These can be worn with anything; think smart suit and tie-dye t-shirt to make it casual.

The Blazer

This is the perfect piece to add to your spring wardrobe. It is simple, elegant, and simply a great item to have. If you are trying to smarten up but do not want to go the whole way, grab a blazer. The blazer creates a long-line silhouette and can be paired with pretty much any outfit, from your current sweats to your summer shorts.  A blazer is a great spring essential that will help you step back into the fashion world looking simple yet refined. Take some time to research the right style for you.

Ways to Encourage Innovation in Your Business

Innovation is something that every business owner should strive for, as this is how you take the business forward, find new levels of success, improve your brand reputation, and much more. While there are many perks to innovation, and it is important to prevent falling behind, it is also something that does not come easily; otherwise, everyone would be doing it. Innovation and creativity in a business setting can be challenging, especially when you have an established way of working and have not changed much in recent times. Fortunately, there are a few tips that should encourage innovation and creativity and help your business to move forward.

Learn From Mistakes

First, you should spend some time thinking back through your company’s history and reflecting on the decisions that have been made. In particular, you should focus on any mistakes or decisions that did not deliver the expected result and try to learn what you can from these. Mistakes are inevitable in the business world, particularly when looking to innovate, but you should always frame these as learning opportunities and try to find ways to improve moving forward.

Customer Surveys

It is always a good idea to go to your customers when looking for ways to innovate and improve – the customer is always right, as they say. Surveys are one of the best ways to do this and could allow you to discover ways to improve your business that could have been otherwise hard to spot; plus, this is also a smart way to create stronger relationships with your existing customers.

Diversity Recruitment

Staff can often have the best ideas when it comes to innovation, especially if you have prioritized diversity recruitment and have a diverse workforce with different backgrounds, experiences, and ideas. You should use inclusive diversity platforms that can leverage data and automation to help you to create a more inclusive and diverse workforce, which can bring a multitude of benefits, with one being the chance for greater innovation within the company.

Asking Staff

Following on from this, you should be encouraging employees to come forward with their ideas, no matter how big or small. Employees are the ones carrying out the key tasks each day, so often, they have ideas for ways to improve or are simply more aware of issues than those in management. Creating a supportive environment where staff can feel confident in coming forward will always lead to innovation as well as help employees to feel important and valued.

Research

While innovation and creativity sometimes strike from nowhere, they often need to be found, which means that you need to make time for research and brainstorming. This is tricky when running a business, so you might want to delegate some of your work or task someone else with researching new ideas and finding ways to innovate. It is also important to focus on the right areas, which means prioritizing areas of the business that need improving.

Hopefully, this post will spark inspiration and help you to bring innovation into your business and enjoy the benefits that this can bring.

For There is Always Light

by Lisa Gal

The Hill We Climb was written by a 22-year-old Youth Poet Laureate, Amanda Gorman, and hand-picked to be read at the inauguration of the 46th President of the United States, Joe Biden. Gorman, a local Los Angeles resident, received the exciting news via zoom making her the youngest poet to write and recite a piece at a presidential inauguration. The sky’s the limit for Gorman as she has recently announced her intention to run for president in 2036, the first election cycle in which she’ll be old enough to do so. So pick up a piece of history with this petite but mighty book that can now be cherished in this special gift edition including an enduring foreword by Oprah Winfrey. We are thrilled to include this special gift in our 2021 “Covid-style” Hollywood Swag Bags being direct gifted to nominees honoring Oscar weekend.

Words That Dance on the Page

by Lisa Gal

The inspiration behind When I Go Outside came from two kindred spirits, authors Teffanie Thompson and Adrea Peters, that got together and created a work of art to lift you up and help you see beyond the letters on the page. When I Go Outside, I Go Inside is an invitation to walk alongside nature’s divine call to breathe, to relax, and to dream. If only you could close your eyes as you read their mantras like “breathing beauty in across all boundaries receiving as we illuminate everything,” what would your mind envision? A field of green grass waving in the breeze as a butterfly flies off into the sunset? Or maybe smelling a rose so deep that you feel you have become one with the scent? Each time you read When I Go Outside you can take your mind on a new journey of wonderment.

Adrea’s book Quantum Thinking is about factoring in possibility. In Physics quantum means “a discrete quantity of energy proportional in magnitude to the frequency of the radiation it represents.” In Quantum Thinking Andrea brings you 38 thoughts on life, on possibility, on taking ourselves beyond the right or wrong, yes or no, this or that nature of us. It is about changing “but” to “and. Beyond the limitations of living endless yesterdays await infinite possibilities today.

We are thrilled to include both of these works of art in our 2021 “Covid-style” Hollywood Swag Bags being direct gifted to nominees honoring Oscar weekend.
