· Starting on damp hair add 2 golf ball sizes of OSiS+ Grip and a few spritz of OSiS+ Session Label Flexible Hold Hairspray to the roots.

· Blow dry with a Denman brush or vent brush, focusing on adding volume at the scalp.

· Take a deep side parting, just past the mid of the eyebrow.

· On the heavy side of the head, start at the top, take an inch thick section from the crown to the hairline, split that section in to 1-inch sections.

· Using a 1Ž2 inch curling, curl the 1-inch sections towards the face and pin till they are cool.

· Work in this same way, from behind the ear forward, curling all the hair and pinning.

· On the lighter side of the head, take 1-inch thick sections from just behind the ear, holding your iron horizontal curl the entire section at once away from the face, work from the parting down till you have curled all the hair.

· Working on the back of the head, take 2-inch sections in a brick-lay pattern and curl each section, vertically in different directions.

· Using a wide toothcomb, comb out the curls in the front, forming them into a wave.

· Brush out the rest of the head with your fingers and touch up with a Mason Pearson.

· Finish the look with OSiS+ Session Label Strong Hold Hairspray.

Reimagine Beauty Celebrates 25 Years

Reimagine Beauty
CHARITABLE PROGRAM CELEBRATES 25 YEARS OF
HELPING WOMEN LOOK, FEEL THEIR BEST
WHEN BATTLING CANCER TREATMENT

If you or someone close to you has been impacted by cancer, you know that the appearance changes women undergo while coping with cancer treatment – like beauty itself – are far more than skin deep. These changes can impact a woman’s self-esteem and sense of self at a time when she needs it the most. Twenty-five years ago, one doctor decided to make a difference. When a patient wouldn’t leave her hospital bed because of her appearance following cancer treatment, he made a phone call to a friend in the beauty industry. Look Good Feel Better was born.
The Look Good Feel Better program offers free workshops that teach beauty techniques to help women cope with the appearance side effects of cancer treatment; thereby giving them self-confidence and helping them regain some normalcy in a life that is by no means normal.

Look Good Feel Better has helped nearly 900,000 people with cancer the U.S. and nearly 1,500,000 people around the world.

In the United States alone, the program now offers 15,800 group workshops nationwide in 2,400 locations.

It is supported by 262 companies, most of whom are affiliated with the cosmetics industry, who provide financial, product and in-kind donations.

In this video Geralyn Lucas, Award-Winning Television Producer, Author, Women’s Health Advocate and author of Why I Wore Lipstick to My Mastectomy and Linda Whitehurst, a 25-Year Look Good Feel Better Volunteer talk about this amazing program.

Sleep Your Way To Beautiful Skin

After a long busy day we all seem to find it hard to relax. At least I know I do and in the end our skin can show signs of stress, fatigue and dullness. Our face is the indicator of how we take care of ourselves and while we sleep our cells do a complete turnover giving us fresh rejuvinated skin in the morning. Only thing is as we get older, our cells need a little help. When I was 18 I started using a nighlty moisturizer and have done so religiously every night. Here I am 23 years old and for the first time I have not used my moisturizer BUT I have used another nightly procedure.

Renew You Mask

Renew You Mask

The Renew You Sleep Spa mask is the greatest invention to ever cross the skin care market. For just 10 minutes at night you can have an even brighter morning. With two masks to choose from (Fruit Enzymes and Pure Oils) all skin types can feel replenished. I personally like the Fruit Enzyme Sleep Spa Mask. It contains papaya, pineapple and bamboo to help eliminate dead skin cells from the day. After cleansing your face, place the mask on the contours of your face and let the mask do the rest (you will look funny for a little while). The beauty of this is you don not wash it off. After removing the mask rub excess product in your skin and then go to sleep. In the morning you will feel like a new person.

Whether I see it on a girls day with my friends or on a classic dinner and a movie date, I know my eyes will be looking fabulous and enticing with the Pur Mineral Jupiter Ascending Palette.

the six out-of-this-world colors are: Majesty (a pale taupe), Destiny (a soft cream), Night Sky (a fabulous smoky grey), Jupiter (a dark purplish-pink), Caine (a sparkling mocha) and Cosmos (a iridescent white). My favorite shadow is Jupiter, it makes my look big and truly captivating–just like Jupiter herself.

As you may or may not know, Jupiter Ascending stars Hollywoods two hottest actors–the playful and sexy Mila Kunis and the charming and handsome Channing Tatum. Jupiter, Mila Kunis, is known for her smoky, big and sexy eyes which are easily recreate-able with this palette.

Lastly, the best thing about this palette is that it comes with a cool effortlessly pretty pink lip gloss and a Liquid precision eyeliner to complete the perfect make-up look every time! Get the Look: Christina Hendricks at the 2014 Emmy Awards

See how you can get the hairstyle that celebrity hairstylist Gregory Russell created for Christina Hendricks at the 2014 Emmy Awards.

Christina Hendricks at the Emmys

THE LOOK Modern, luxurious waves

THE BREAKDOWN Here is how Celebrity hairstylist Gregory Russell gave nominee Christina Hendricks textured waves inspired by her red Marchesa Gown for tonight’s red carpet:

· To begin, Russell applied John Frieda Luxurious Volume Building Mousse to Christina’s roots when her hair was damp

· He then sprayed the John Frieda Luxurious Volume Fine to Full Blow-Out Spray to her ends and rough dried/scrunched her hair until it was 95% dry

· Next, Russell created a center part and used a multi bristle flat brush to smooth the hair, without stretching it, so that it had a lot of body.

· To create the waves, he used a 1-inch flat iron in sections to create texture and body. With a 1.25-inch curling iron, Russell then took small pieces at random and curled away from the face to add both rotation and dimension. For desired volume and shape, he brushed through the lengths of her hair with a wide toothed comb and back combed the underneath.

· To finish, Russell sprayed John Frieda Luxurious Volume All Day Hold Hairspray for hold and long lasting shine.

Recreate Amy Poehler’s Emmy Hair Look With überliss Hair Products

ALEX POLILLO STYLED NOMINEE AMY POEHLER FOR THE 2014 PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS USING UBERLISS PRODUCTS

Amy Poehler

Amy Poehler

Inspiration: “For tonights look, we decided to keep hair fun, playful and a little edgy, letting the dress stand out. Since it is a big event, I knew her hair needed to shine but at the same time, stay understated. Leaving the and straight, and alternating between two different types of wave helped me keep the balance.”

1. Start with freshly washed and towel dried hair, select a part and brush out. Polillo suggests trying überliss shampoo and conditioner ($23.00 – $26.00 @ überliss.com) when you wash the hair.

2. Apply überliss Rituoil ($19.90 @ überliss.com) serum to the damp hair and blow dry smooth with a medium sized round brush to add slight volume at the root. For a added volume at the crown, add 2-3 Velcro rollers.

3. Taking 1″ sections, alternate between the t3 wand and the t3 1″ flat iron to create a slight wave or a ‘s’ shaped wave with the flat iron (available at Sephora $130).

4. Using a liberal amount of Serge Normant Meta-Revive Dry Shampoo (available at Birchbox $25) at the root for a messy volume.

5. Pieced out the ends with Kevin Murphy Undressed ($33.00 available on Amazon) and finish with Leonor Greyl Voluforme Hairspray ($35.00 available on Amazon).
