Define and create beautiful eyes with Gerda Spillmann Bio-Blends Eyeliner Pencils

As a Makeup Artist, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve asked a client why they don’t wear eyeliner. The answer generally is that they don’t know how to apply it so it looks natural, and not over done.

I can understand the dilemma and frustration with eyeliners in general. Many times a pencil is too dry, pulls the delicate eyelid area and doesn’t deliver a smooth line. That can often create a challenge on a mature or sensitive eye. On the other hand, I’ve worked with pencils that are too soft, and it’s difficult to control the width of the liner and many times the line will not define, but actually create a smeary look that often ends up appearing over done and messy. Chelsy Davy looks splendid at the Royal Wedding

It always fascinates me to see how lovely the movie stars appear at the red carpet events. As a makeup artist, I realize all of the planning that takes place with stylists, hair designers, and makeup artists to achieve that special look for a celebrity.

I must say I was curious, and had been thinking a lot about what type of preparation took place with prominent guests participating in such a regal, worldwide publicised event as The Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton .

It was one of those synchronistic moments when seconds later I opened an email from UNITE Hair Care. It contained the most interesting documentation of Celebrity hairstylist, Jonathan Long, and Celebrity makeup artist, Jules Cardozo-Marsh ,who by Royal Appointment created the stunning look for Chelsy Davy. Ms. Davy is the young lady who has on and off been linked with Prince Harry, the younger brother of Prince William, and would ,indeed, be a part of the Royal Wedding.

I personally use some of the wonderful UNITE hair products, and have written about them before. With much gratitude to UNITE Hair Care , it’s my pleasure to share both of the artist’s “step by step” hair and makeup creations with you.

“My Beautiful Mommy” is a wonderful children’s book written by “World Renown” Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Michael Salzhauer

Are you considering plastic surgery? Do you wonder how you should approach your children regarding the subject? This is a wonderful children’s book, that is so well written by Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Michael Salzhauer, with absolutely beautiful illustrations by Vic Guiza, and it takes it’s place as the first children’s book of it’s kind that tackles the topic of plastic surgery.

I remember when my children were younger and I decided to have reconstructive surgery on my nose. It was a bit of a challenge trying to explain to my young boys what I was having done, that I might look a bit different, have bandages on, and awkwardly try to tell them that there was really nothing for them to worry about. Oh, how I would have loved to have had Dr. Salzhauer’s book, “My Beautiful Mommy”.

Dr.Salhauer had his own personal experience that encouraged him to write this book when he personally had a nose job and had many questions asked by his 4 year old daughter. He also noticed that a number of his clients were not sure about how to answer their children’s questions about procedures that they were going to have.

Kids tend to fill in the blanks when they see mommy in bandages, and they often feel sad, hurt and confused as to what happened.
