“Rock out” with Adreamrocks!

In the 20 something years I have been on this Earth I never thought I would see the day when bling would be on swimwear and towels. I have loved bling since I first saw Cher and now my dear friend Tiffany Ward brings all the bling to life with her company Adreamrocks: Towels that Rock Style. Not just towels though….bathing suits as well!!!

I first met Tiffany at the M.I.A 2 The Bay fashion show as she showcased her blinged out swimwear & again saw her at the VIP Exclusives Fashion Show where she showcased even more surprises for us. Tiffany started her career as a women’s fashion designer for Laura Ashley & Pursuits at Carson Pirie & Scott/Bon-Ton Stores in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Later became a designer for Harley Davidson. Seriously this women does it all! She also hold a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design.

Each bathing suit top, bottoms, & all her towels are made with dedication, love and utmost passion. Every time she hits a runway or a photo shoot, they definitely “shine bright like a diamond”. Some made with Swarovski Crystals and a special heat bonding, your Adreamrocks is made to last. At the VIP Exclusives, Adreamrocks introduced the new bridal collection, Goddess Gold swimsuit and tutu swim cover ups. Also, while I was there I received the greatest gift you could ever ask for. My very own Adreamrocks blinged out towel in cheetah print! Now I can too rock out in style while in the sun. I cannot thank you enough Tiffany. You are a ROCKstar 🙂

Stand out above the crowd with Prestige

Prestige Cosmetics Total Intensity line is just what it says it is…INTENSE. I always loved adding bright vibrant colors into my makeup looks but sometimes, with my pale skin, no matter how intense they were they just never seemed to show up. With the Total Intensity line now us “porcelain canvas’ ” can rock out some vibrant colors. As you could see in my video (posted below) there is a lot of colors to choose from. Let me break down each one for you so you can get up close & personal with each one.

First off lets talk lips. The Total Intensity Lip Crayon is a smooth, luscious lip crayon that is long lasting and packed with color. Its discreet packaging makes it easily transportable and the greatest thing about the Total Wear Lip Crayons is when applying there is no need to add lip liner. Unless you want to. With its pointed edge it makes applying lips so much easier.

Now lets move on to the eyes. Let’s talk Total Intensity Color Rush colors. The design reminds me of a seashell. I received the “On the Prowl” which I love that name because it reminds me of my favorite animal.. the tiger. On The Prowl Color Rush is perfect combination of high, even pigment, and controlled application. It also has skin benefiting agents and looks gorgeous as an accent color. They work extremely well with the Fierce Color Eye shadows. I have Hocus Pocus & Obsession which are also great for use as liquid eyeliner. More high pigment and fun colors the possibilities are endless. Have fun with this one!

When wanting a metallic, “foiled” on look, go for the True Metals from Total Intensity. Does not crease, easily buildable application so you can go as bold or as subtle as you like. I have used “Sterling” even wet and got an even more intense look. So much fun!
Now onto the trios. Three intense long lasting pigments packed into one package. Perfect for a “high fashion” edgy look with the three colors. Again very highly pigmented, long lasting and intense lol. Smoke & Mirrors will give you that perfect smoky eye. And that brings me to the eye shadow stick. A creamy textured eye shadow crayon that does not smudge and is long lasting giving you an incredibly bold pop of color. Jungle War green makes eye colors pop!

And of course last but not least, no eye look is complete without eyeliner and mascara. The Total Intensity eyeliners are waterproof, last up to 10 hours and have beautiful deep black undertones. This really makes all the colors accent your natural eye color beautifully. I tried to take off my eyeliner and had to wash my eyes 3 times just to get it completely off. They mean waterproof! Then those lashes need some intensity as well. With its uniquely designed wand. you can get the perfect coating and long luscious lashes instantly. Does not come off and wont smudge.

“Bow tie” it up

I have always loved learning anything and everything about this industry and on top of that I also love history. Little did I know that back when I was a tween and found my passion that history and the beauty/fashion industries go hand in hand. What do I mean by that you ask? The more I learned about clothes, or makeup etc. the more I started realizing that each style, or product has its own historical background. There is one particular fashion statement that has made its way back into the scene that I cannot wait to share its history with you. Its none other than…. THE BOW TIE!!!!

Alot of my guys friends have incorporated the bow tie into their own personal style. Not only that being a lover of all things vintage, have noticed “Old Hollywood” celebrities rocking the bow tie as well. After doing some research I found the bow tie became widely popular back in the 19th century as a modification of the “cavat” tie. By the 1880s, bow ties made their way into the closets of the fashion conscience man. In 1886 Pierre Lorillard designed the black bow tie and wore it to formal ball. Thus getting the infamous “black tie affair” term. Isn’t that awesome? But there is more about this statement that really shocked me. In the 1920s & 30s the famous men’s fashion statement quickly cross gendered & started being worn by women on the silver screen. Two in particular are Katherine Hepburn & Marlene Dietrich.

Fast forward to 2015 and the famous bow tie is now a statement made by men and women of all ages. Throughout the years, its design has been revamped, redefined, fabrics have been changed and now can be made with the person in mind. We can see celebrities such as Drew Barrymore & Johnny Depp sporting the bow tie & even fashion blogs all over showcase fashionistas donning them. Is it amazing how a simple accessory that was actually made to showcase what your “class” was is now one of the most popular statements? A “summer nights dream”

After hours of preparation, excitement and few gallons of hairspray later, the VIP Exclusives Fashion Show was underway at the Tampa Convention Center making it a “summer night’s dream”. Founded in 2004 by business man and entrepreneur Terrance Shaw, VIP has brought nothing but top notch service since day one. And that is exactly what they brought to Tampa Bay. The evening started off with celebrity performers opera singer and ballet aerialist, Jacqueline Valdez & Jason Rex of Infusion Remax. A beautiful duet that reminded me of cirque de Solei meets opera. Jacqueline and Jason are also survivors of cancer and Sjogren disease.

After that the designers & models started things off with a bang and a few feathers. The show featured designers Lacie Cupani and Cupani Fashion, David President, MEROCKI, Jacqueline Saldana, Jackie Hutcherson, Nailuj Villarroel, Aleksandra Salo, Jessica Rios All Brides 2 Be & Formalwear & Adreamrocks! We had everything from formal wear, bathing suits, blinged out bathing suits and towels and so much more. Sometimes words cannot express just how amazing these shows are! Some designers and models even flew in from out of town just to participate. At the end of the night awards were given to the best designer & best international model. US Gold & Silver donated rings to the best designs, All Brides to Be by Jessica Rios and Best International Model Abby Marie Santiago. Congratulations ladies!

As cool as a cucumber

When it comes down to snacking, I seriously cannot get enough cucumbers. With so many different ways of preparing them, their taste and texture is always changing making them “fun” to eat. Of course the best way to eat them, health wise, is just straight up raw. Of course with all these different ways of eating and preparing them, there are also many different ways of using cucumbers for your skin.

We probably remember our grandmothers or even our mothers telling us how they would put slices over their eyes to reduce puffiness & dark circles right? Throughout time, research shows that now cucumbers can be beneficial for cooling sunburn (which now makes them my best friend), reduce pore size and can fade freckles. Many skincare products are even incorporating cucumbers into their ingredients. Even though my skincare routine is very disciplined, I have always found that my skin benefits more with what I put into my body. With switching cucumbers to my snack my skin’s texture has improved, it’s thoroughly hydrated and glows. When I touch my skin it feel so smooth its almost feels brand new.

Its amazing how something that can be grown in your back yard is not only beneficial for your health but is great for rejuvenating your skin and much more. So next time you pick up this giant green log just think of all the things it can do for you. Get your cucumber on 🙂
