Abigail Spencer at the Critics’ Choice Awards

Lauren’s Inspiration: Modern glam.

Face: I started with Honest Everything Cream Foundation and Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Concealer. I added highlight with Anastasia Illuminator and color to the cheeks with Hourglass Radiant Light Powder.

Eyes: I created a soft pink cream wash on the eyes using Avon Extra Lasting Eye Shadow Ink in Always Merlot. Then I lined the eyes with Avon SuperShock Gel Eyeliner Pencil in Intense Brown and finished with Avon Big & False Lash Volume Mascara in Brown Black.

Lip: I applied Avon True Color Matte Lipstick in Perfectly Nude – launching in February.

I must admit, I am that chick who goes to the gym looking rough; I really don’t care what I look like when I work out. My mindset is I go to the gym to work out and look good when I am away from the gym. Ok, I said I WAS that chick. There are many ladies who pack their gym bag to the brim. They carry everything in it but the kitchen sink. I on the other hand don’t even bring a towel. I know, I know that’s so bad, but I do wipe off each machine before and after I use them. The reason I don’t bring a towel is simple. I know a lot of people worry about germs and don’t want their towels on the floor or bench. I don’t worry too much about germs, (as I said before, I wipe it off before I use the machine anyway) but I do worry about where I leave my towel. Did I leave it on a machine, in the restroom, or on the bench? I have lost so many towels because once I am in my zone; I’m focused on my workout and getting out of there. I do however have to keep stopping to get a paper towel between sets to wipe my sweaty face. In tourist clothes while in a world of Fashion!

One of the most fun things about shopping in Ireland was learning the conversion of shoe sizes. After visiting Primark, mom and I stumbled upon a shoe store that was running a very large shoe sale. Of course, being a girl, I could not resist! But I was in for a big surprise.

Forgetting that I was in another country, I forgot all about the difference of sizes over there. lol. It was very funny to find out that my size 7 1/2 shoe was, in fact, a size 38! lol. I cracked up every time I tried on a pair. In my mind I kept saying, “Oh grandma what big feet you have”. Shopping is definitely a whole new experience where you are not used to it. Even while in London.

The shoes I purchased (the gold sandals) are so comfortable, and perfect for this Florida weather. So if you ever find yourself in Ireland & London you will notice that fashion never takes a break. Men, women and even the kids are always walking around in some high fashion looks. So walking around in tourist clothes I felt a little out of place. lol I was so blessed to have visited these two beautiful countries and discover their look into fashion, food and what not. Made me remember my passion for the industry.
