Why Are You Still Using Off-the-Shelf Hygiene Products

Off-the-Shelf Hygiene

When you buy off-the-shelf hygiene products from supermarkets and drugstores, you pay more for a product that isn’t as good. However, organic products are much better environmentally and medically. Here are some reasons to consider going organic with personal cleaning products.

Better for Your Skin and Health

It’s not just food that can be natural or organic. They can be used in every kind of consumer product. There are organic products for every part of your body, from shampoo to face cream. And some of them are better for your body’s health than others. An Ethique plastic free shampoo bar is a great example of what a 100% natural and organic product should look like. Everything is natural, and there are no harmful ingredients that irritate or cause allergies.

Organics are Much Cheaper

People often think that natural and sustainable goods are only for people who have a lot of money. In fact, if you use natural and organic products, you will save money. Even though stores charge more on the shelves, their packages are more efficient and hold more products. Also, natural ingredients last a lot longer. For example, organic solid shampoo bars last about three times as long as wet shampoo, but they cost the same or less than traditional products.

Off-the-Shelf Hygiene Products Contain More Allergens

You could be allergic to a lot of different things. Considering where you’re from, you can avoid most of them or find them hard to avoid when labels are limited. But there are a lot more allergens that could hurt or kill you. Even though organic and natural products might have some allergens, they are less likely to have toxins like sulfites because they are formulated with natural ingredients via natural methods. They also don’t contain harmful preservatives.

Playing Your Sustainability Role

One of the top arguments for switching is that it is better for the environment. You may already know a lot about the problem. But almost every natural and organic commodity on the market is made and sourced in a way that is good for the environment. When organic producers make their soaps, creams, and shampoos, they do little to no damage to the environment. They do this by using natural materials that can be replaced quickly, like herbs for scent.

You Need to be Cruelty-Free

Organically made products do not hurt animals. Even today, we know that the fashion industry uses cruel methods. From animal testing to killing them for their fur and skin, there are many ways animals are used. However, all-natural and organic goods are made in a way that doesn’t hurt any animals. This is because all of the ingredients come from natural sources, and animals aren’t used to test the products. There’s also no harm to existing animal habitats.

Summary

You are essentially being ripped off when you use off-the-shelf hygiene products, and some are even dangerous. So it might be a good idea to switch to organic if you have allergies or want to help with sustainability. Organics contain no harmful chemicals or allergens and are cruelty-free.
