Visiting seven cities nationwide, the (Street) Art of Beauty tour will feature an exclusive mobile salon covered in graffiti by Rimmel London’s Chief Artistic Officer, Indie184. Aboard the salon will be an A-list team of makeup artists ready to help consumers perfect an edgy eye or bold lip with Rimmel London’s exciting products like Magnif’eyes Eyeshadow Palettes, Scandaleyes Mascara, and the NEW Stay Satin Liquid Lip.

Beauty enthusiasts will also enjoy product giveaways and coupons off their next Rimmel purchase as well as plenty of dramatic, Insta-worthy backdrops that fuse beauty, art and culture

Made in America: The Julian Chang story

JULIAN CHANG STORY: MADE IN AMERICA

Inspiration: I am a Miami based designer so our collections have the Miami flair, I always try to use bold colors and fun prints, combined with comfortable textures. I think every woman wants to feel beautiful and sexy so our collections project that dual feeling.

My inspirations can come from different places; travels, an exciting performer, art work, textiles or a great book

Collection: I like to work with easy care materials for the modern woman, including silk jerseys, and materials with natural fibers such as silks and cotton. Rather than working exclusively in only one type of fabric or color palettes, I prefer to use the appropriate material and color to make the garment evoke the aesthetic I am seeking.

Manufacturing: We produce everything in Miami. The Julian Chang label states: “Proudly Made in the USA”. This construct enables me to accomplish two objectives; giving back to my country of choice, while at the same time providing employment opportunities for others in the community, in working conditions and at wages that will also enable them to have fulfilling lives for themselves and their families.

Company Overview: 16 full time employees, 6 independent contractors, 4 showrooms across the country, and 600 boutiques throughout the world selling to end users.

The company ships to over 3,000 units a month, all proudly made in the USA. The first full year the collection was produced was 2010, from a small store-front with two employees. Today our design and manufacturing facility encompasses in excess of 4,000 square feet. Currently, the company produces four different collections annually; resort/spring, summer, autumn, winter/holiday. Each collection is comprised of between 25 and 30 different “looks”.

San Lorenzo unveils new bikini collections at SwimMiami

SAN LORENZO BIKINIS UNVEILS MIND, BALI, SOUL 2016 COLLECTION AT SWIM MIAMI

Miami, FL. – Hawaii based brand San Lorenzo bikinis showed their 2016 collection atop a glamorous candlelit runway over the pool at the W South Beach Friday night. The show opened with models channeling their inner “ohm” with stunning choreography ending in a Lotus pose that transported guests to a night of Balinese beauty and bikinis.

The collection, Mind Bali Soul, included a striking mix of one-pieces, bikinis in stunning prints and a tiger print one-piece that made the crowd go wild. Standouts included suits featuring lattice work details in soft, South Pacific hues and patterns including a floral print that served as the inspiration for the fresh flower hair details and flower-filled woven baskets the models carried.

The female models, including top swim model McKenna Berkley, who pranced down the runway full of mystique and wrapped with primal intuition. The collection flowed effortlessness with pieces that could easily be interchangeable and featured reversible fabric.

About San Lorenzo

San Lorenzo Bikinis was founded in Lima, Peru. A young girl with an abundance of passion and love for the ocean, Lisseth Figueroa, moved to Hawaii from Lima to attend college, trading one tropical home for another. After moving to the Hawaiian Islands, she soon realized that there was a noticeable gap in the market for her favorite South American swimwear cuts. An idea began to flourish, and soon with the help of her family back in Lima, San Lorenzo Bikinis would start production to bring the latest trends in swimwear to the islands, introducing Hawaii to the fused vibes of sol, praia, and aloha.

San Lorenzo Bikinis reached the Hawaiian Islands in 2002, and instantly became the go-to bikini shop. Mia Marcelle Swimwear return to Miami w/ WOW-Worthy Collection

Miami, FL. Napa Valley, California’s Mia Marcelle Swimwear, opened the show at SWIMMIAMI with a live electric violinist playing “When I Met You in the Summer” before golden clad models took to the runway.

The collection included sexy silhouettes, with a personal touch seen in every piece, including an original print, Cube, designed by her 8-year old son. Adding a twist on traditional one-pieces, plunging necklines and cut out sides featuring intricately braided straps complemented the barely-there bikinis.

The audience was captivated by the bold, golden beauty accents and beehive bouffants as the models walked the runway in the 2016 collection wearing gold ankle-strap stilettos and gold hoops. For the finale, model Johanna Da Ru strutted down the runway wearing a $1,500 handcrafted, custom teeny bikini covered in Swarvoski Crystals all fixed to the suit by hand.

Sexy yet functional, the many of the pieces such as the Paia Multi Way Bandeau & Nikki bikini as well as the Hot Coral Chantelle Top & Hana Bottom were expertly crafted with sustainable techno-fabric imported from Italy. This fabric, made with Econly, is 100% regenerated polyamide fibers from post-consumer materials; which when tested in real life conditions proved to be twice as resistant to elements such as chlorine, suntan creams and oils. The innovative construction and the presence of LYCRA XTRA LIFE allows for Mia Marcelle’s swimwear to successfully combine stylish and sexy with strength that will endure wear and tear.

VIP guests were gifted with incredible branded beach bags, packed with all the goodies you need for a flawless day at the beach, including a branded beach towel.

Nothing like Miami’s heat

The South Beach heat came all the way to Tampa Bay with the M.I.A 2 The Bay “All White” Fashion Party. A show and a party all in one, it was truly a night to remember. Featuring designers Hakat Re By Lance Stephens, ADreamRocks By Tiffany Ward, & Ankara by Ester L. They truly brought Miami’s heat!

With guest host Rima from The Bad Girls Club (season 9) M.I.A 2 The Bay was unlike any other fashion show I have been too. Everything from the food to where it was held was just unbelievable. Then came the fashions! Each designer brought their own taste to the runway. We had everything from Ancient Egypt (Hakat Re) inspired to blinged out beach attire (ADream Rocks) that “shined bright like diamonds”.

From Miami to Tampa Bay

Another fun night of fashion is coming to the historic Tampa Bay city of Ybor. The M.I.A 2 the Bay “All White” Fashion Party. This fashion show brings the fashions of Miami runways to Tampa. True to its name, is truly an “all white” event. Everything from food, decorations and even what we will be wearing. I am so excited because I have never been to an “All White” event. Its always FABULOUS with Jorge

Welcome to “all things fabulous” with Jorge! Jorge Alvarado is the host/ producer and creator of The Jorge Show, a variety talk show in Tampa, Miami and Orlando. Starting in 2012, The Jorge Show offers different segments with everything from “Hot Tea” segments, to giveaways and more.

But who is this Jorge I keep talking about? Jorge Alvarado is the son of a beautiful single mother who raised 4 children on her own. When he was younger he started modeling for JCPenny ads and would tour all over Florida with the group. He told me every JCPenny store you walked into, you saw him in the ads and on the walls. Not only that Jorge used to introduce Saturday morning cartoons and was a guest on the Mickey Mouse Club. When he was a teenager he ran student body president. Sadly he didnt win the first time around but then ran again the next year and won.

In 2011, after spending much time in NYC and LA, Jorge launched “The Jorge Show”. Shot in front of a live audience in Orlando, Jorge brings a sense of realness to his shows. After every show he takes the time to meet & great with his audience. He has interviewed many celebrities such as John Travolta, Kevin Spacey & has the pleasure of meeting & speaking with the Cake Boss & Tabitha Coffey. Now coming into a new season, Jorge and his team are actively working to make it the best season yet. I have to say it seems Jorge never sleeps because not only is he doing this he is also hosting & attending events throughout Florida. He is very active in charities such as the Animal Collition of Tampa, SHE Empowerment and more.

When I had coffee with him one day he said something to me that made me like him even more. ” I want to be every girls best friend and every moms favorite son”. New York’s largest media event, Mercedes-Benz fashion week is a golden, global opportunity for designers all over the world to showcase, and emerge into the industry. Mercedes-Benz fashion week travels through the globe from NYC to Australia, Miami, Berlin and Instanbul. Features many designers such as Ralph Lauren, Vera Wang, BCBG and Calvin Klein. Get the look: Mercedes-Benz fashion week

The real head turner of this season’s presentation, the hair! Styled to have drama and edge, the look was created with a lot of grit and texture applied by Rene Furterer’s Volumea Spray and Mousse throughout the scalp. They then hand dried the hair leaving a natural texture that was able to be easily manipulated into a ponytail which was then swept forward for a Faux -Bang with soft natuarla pieces falling out around the perimeter.

How-To:

•Prep hair with Rene Furterer Volumea Spray and Mousse
•Hand dry to leave natural texture
•Use an elastic and create a ponytail that can be pulled up into a faux bang
•Pin hair across the top of head to keep in place
•Give the faux fringe a soft sweep to the side
•Pull down soft pieces around the perimeter of head
•Finish with Rene Furterer Gloss spray
