Exercising Healthy Control Over Your Appearance

Ultimately, the best way to find more control over how you look is to love yourself for who you are, no matter what you look like, or what your quirks are. Odds are, the things that you object to about yourself are beautiful and loved by someone close to you.

When you permit yourself to experience this self-love, you’re much less likely to think that you need to change it. And, if you do change it, you will be doing so for the right reasons. Enjoying a new tattoo, dying your hair, trying a piercing, or simply switching up your style can all be fantastic examples of this.

From there, you might find that small treatment that helps optimize your appearance or resolve issues you’ve wanted to change for a while will be a healthy decision, not one done out of desperation or a sense of feeling ‘wrong.’ That in itself can be a great place in which to exercise more control over your appearance.

It can also be that expressing yourself is key to unlocking the beauty of your appearance.
