“PRIORIT-EYES” During National Self Care Week

November 15 -21 is National Self Care Week, and surely “staying hydrated” will top many lists focusing on self-care practices. However, we would like to shine a spotlight on a different type of hydration and share a simple, 20 second rule for increased eye comfort.

        • Hydrate: Remember to give your eyes the moisture they need. Try NEW Biotrue® Hydration Boost Eye Drops, a uniquely-formulated preservative-free eye drop that provides instant moisture to help relieve irritated, dry eyes, that often feel uncomfortable throughout the day. Inspired by the biology of the eye, the drops are formulated with naturally inspired ingredients, and they are pH balanced to match healthy tears to help the drop feel comfortable when applied, with no preservatives!
        • 20/20/20 Rule: Digital device eye strain, caused by increased screen use, has accelerated within the last decade and the average person spends 5-6 hours a day looking at their phone screen, excluding time spent working on their phone.1 Increased screen use can cause eye strain and irritated, dry eyes. One way to help combat this is to implement the 20/20/20 rule. Every 20 minutes, move your eyes to an object that is 20 feet away for 20 seconds to refocus your eyes. These regular breaks may help relax the eye muscles and reduce the effects of screens on your eyes.2 And if you find time gets away from you, try a time management cube to help you remember to look away from your screen and tackle tasks every 20 minutes.

This November, prioritize (or should we say, “priorit-eyes” !) self-care with simple actions that make a difference, you can feel in the blink of an eye.
