A Good Daily Routine

Making sure you have a good daily routine when it comes to your hair and skin means a pamper session is just that. You won’t need to spend time treating tired and damaged skin, you can just relax and enjoy it. Make sure your daily routine includes:

  • Hair brushing. Brushing your hair thoroughly stimulates scalp circulation, aiding the growth of new hairs, removing chemicals and dirt from your scalp, and helping to evenly spread your hair’s natural oils. This stops your roots getting overly greasy, and removes the need for everyday washing.
  • Cleanse and moisturize. Make sure you take your makeup off every night before you go to bed. Leaving it on can lead to clogged pores, greasy skin and spot outbreaks. Follow with a gentle moisturizer to keep your skin nice and soft. This is especially important in the winter.
  • Drink water. Water rehydrates your skin, keeping it youthful, by increasing its elasticity.
  • A good night’s sleep gives your whole body a chance to recover and repair.

A Facemask

Facemasks are a great way to give your skin some extra attention, but they also help you relax as they smell fantastic. Have a long soak in a bubble bath with a drink of your choice and a good book. Then apply a homemade facemask. There aren’t many things more relaxing.

Manicure

If you can’t afford, or just haven’t got time, to go to the salon, a home manicure is a great way to make yourself feel great. Freshly painted nails give us a brilliant confidence boost, and the color really says a lot about our mood and personality. Dark, gothic colors are really in fashion at the moment. Before painting, buff your nails to stimulate blood flow, this will help your nails grow faster, keeping them strong and healthy.

Foot Spa

Our feet deserve lots of attention, they carry us round all day long. A soothing foot soak can be made at home using sea salts and essential oils. Try lavender to help you relax and get a great night’s sleep.

If you can, get someone to give you a massage or even just a shoulder rub. When we are busy and stressed, we carry a lot of tension in our shoulders. Use these tips once a week, or when you feel you need to. You’ll be more relaxed, and enjoy your studies more.
