Slay Like Zendaya at the iHeartRadio Music Awards!

unnamed-13

Zendaya walked the red-carpet at the iHeartRadio Music Awards with a fierce and edgy smokey eye. Marlena Stell, makeup educator and Makeup Geek CEO, recreates the stunner’s look using Makeup Geek www.makeupgeek.com!
Here’s how to get her look:
Barcelona Beach, Cocoa Bear, Corrupt, Mocha, Taupe Notch, In The Spotlight, Full Spectrum Eye Liners: Obsidian, Nude
Use Barcelona Beach as a transition (area between your brow bone and crease) and all over the lid and crease to make future blending easier.

Swipe Cocoa Bear into the crease blending out harsh lines only, this will add warmth to the overall look. Pat In The Spotlight all over the lid, to add more depth and drama to this metallic smokey eye add Corrupt to the outer V of the eye blending slightly into the crease.

Line the lower waterline with a Full Spectrum Eye Liner pencil in the color Nude .

Tightly line the lower lash line with Corrupt and smoke that out with Taupe Notch and finish this look with a pair of cat eye false lashes and you’re all set!

Step 1 :
After drying freshly washed hair, apply the Schwarzkopf styliste ULTIME Biotin + Volume Mousse to the ends of hair. Use a large boar brush to create volume at the roots and then go in with a 2 inch curling iron making big waves, section by section.

Step 2:
Once the waves are set in place, softly brush them out, and set the look with Schwarzkopf styliste ULTIME Crystal Shine Hair Spray.

Step 1 :
Start with dry straight hair, or dry naturally curly hair. Using a 1/4 curling iron, work your way from the back of the head to the front, dusting Schwarzkopf styliste ULTIME Biotin+ Volume Magic Volume Powderstyliste ULTIME Biotin+ Volume Magic Volume Powder on each section. This is done to add extra definition and volume to the curls.

Step 2:
Using bobby pins, pin some of the back hair up to create a big, bold shape. Pull some hair off the shoulders by pinning back behind the ears and leaving a few tendrils to frame the face giving a soft finish. Add shine and keep the look in place with Schwarzkopf styliste ULTIME Crystal Shine Hairspray.

Sally Hansen is the exclusive nail partner for DKNY

unnamed

Sally Hansen is excited to be the exclusive nail partner for DKNY and to create the nail looks for the Fall 2016 fashion show during New York Fashion Week. “We wanted a playful look that mixes it up with a graphic design and tones from the 90’s,” explained Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne, DKNY Creative Directors.

THE INSPIRATION
“When I think of DKNY, I think of the cool inspiration of the 90’s, the color palette of black, gray, white, neutrals, and strong graphic shapes. I knew the nails needed to feel equally sharp. The girls each have their own personality, a variety of hair styles and thus, a variety of nail styles as well. Using two colors, Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Dark Hue-mor, a deep navy and Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Commander in Chic, a muddy gray-purple, we created four different nail looks which will be randomly applied to the girls backstage. Every girl will have a unique combination of flare.” – Madeline Poole, Sally Hansen Global Color Ambassador

unnamedCommander in Chic and Dark Hue-mor are part of Sally Hansen’s award-winning Complete Salon Manicure collection that infuses trend-setting shades with an expert-quality formula to deliver salon-caliber results. Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure delivers seven salon manicure steps in one bottle. Chip-resistant strength joins gel-quality shine. Runway-ready color meets nourishing benefits. Plus, with a built-in base and top coat, it’s all you need to achieve a professional manicure at home.

THE MANICURIST
Sally Hansen Global Color Ambassador Madeline Poole is a nail artist working in New York and LA. Trained as a painter, Madeline discovered the world of on-set manicuring, immediately recognizing that it was a culmination of all of her talent, interests and expertise. Her unique ability to craft innovative nail designs, impeccable execution, and emphasis on skin care has made her one of the most sought after names in the beauty industry. As part of her collaboration with Sally Hansen, Madeline helps set the artistic direction for a new generation of modern nail looks and collections globally with her fashion-forward vision.

The Braided Ponytail DIY by Ruth Roche

unnamed

Pro Advice from Ruth Roche – The ponytail is one of the most universal ways to style hair – everyone has their signature default version, because it’s so darn comfortable and easy. BUT, the line has to be drawn if it’s just the old pull back and secure, there are so many cooler ways to wear ponytails these days. Ruth Roche, Artistic Ambassador for Pureology Serious Colour Care, shows Melanie Ngo, contributing writer divalicious.nyc, just how easy it is to create a Braided Ponytail: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhulX6WCANg.

“We created multiple braids that were pulled apart for a lacing effect and then swept back into a ponytail – it literally takes minutes to do and adds cool texture to a ponytail,” says Roche.

Braided Ponytail
· Rub a small amount of Pureology Colour Stylist Density Definer in hands.
· Take a section on one side of the head towards the front half, apply product and create a 3-strand braid (right over left, left over right, etc.). Braid loosely, and at the bottom where the elastic will be, hold with fingers and starting at the top of the braid, gently pull up on each strand to create a lace effect. Make sure to pull up and not towards the face. Secure with elastic.
· Repeat on a section more towards the back of the head, so there are 2 braids on the side.
· Repeat previous steps on other side of the head.
· Pull back into a low ponytail, leaving pieces out in the front to frame face and look organic…or, skip this step and just wear the lace braids with hair down!

“This braided ponytail looks effortless, but it’s unusual…it’s a little different, not your average ponytail,” adds Roche.
