February 28th 2021: Viola Davis walked the red carpet at the 78th Golden Globe Awards wearing a custom gown from Los Angeles based brand Lavie by CK. The dress is a silk cotton African Print. Image attached. Viola’s stylist, Elizabeth Stewart, collaborated with Designer Claude Kameni to make the ultimate statement piece. They had collaborated before for Viola’s Vanity Fair cover in 2020.
Lavie By CK founder Claude Kameni was raised in Cameroon where her passion for fashion was cultivated. As a child she was extremely creative with clothing and art. After relocating to the United States, she was blessed to have the opportunity to mold and enhance her skills. The business is direct to consumer with By Appointment Only requests made in the studio for one-of-a-kind pieces.
