Oscars Get the Look: Chrissy Teigen – Mary Phillips – Simple Skincare

unnamed

Here is a step-by-step breakdown of Chrissy Teigen’s Oscars skin and makeup look, compliments of her makeup artist, Mary Phillips.

Mary Phillips on Chrissy Teigen’s Oscars look:
“When doing Chrissy’s makeup, I took into consideration the gorgeous Marchesa burgundy floral gown with the sheer and golden portions that were woven through. It was very romantic and ethereal, but overall – completely stunning.

She’s very genuine as well in herself–what you see is what you get. That’s one of the things (of many) that I love about her, so what I want to do with her makeup is just go off of that. That’s what I tried to convey with this look: just sexy, real, confident and making a large emphasis on keeping the skin as dewy and glowy as possible–even though she already has that naturally.”

SKINCARE PREP
· Skin was prepped with Simple Skincare Micellar Cleansing Water, lending it that instantly clean feeling

· Next, I used Simple Skincare Replenishing Rich Moisturizer, which absorbed right away and sealed in moisture. It created a great base that enhanced the makeup

· The last step for skin prep was using the Simple Skincare Protecting Light Moisturizer with SPF 15 as an eye cream. SPF products can create a sheen and radiance so you almost don’t even need an illuminator. I gently patted it on the orbital bone of her eye area–you want to be extra sensitive when applying anything to the eye area
FOUNDATION
· Using varying shades of foundation gives the most realistic effect for sexy, healthy 3-D skin. I layered Lorac Sheer POREfection Foundation—which is like a foundation and highlighter in one–with a blush brush and Beauty Blender
MAKEUP
· To mattify the skin, I applied Lorac POREfection Baked Perfecting Powder

· The Lancôme Effacernes Waterproof Protective Undereye Concealer was applied under the eye, down to the cheek area, on the outside of the bridge of the nose, outside the mouth, and along the cupids bow

· I added super sheer and barely there Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder to contour

· To set the makeup and add additional radiance, I dusted a little Lorac Light Source on the forehead, bridge of the nose, apples of the cheeks and chin
CHEEKS
· Just a little bit of Lorac Color Source Buildable Blush in Tinge was added to the apples of the cheeks and to the upper crest of her forehead near the hairline
EYES
· I used the lighter colors in the Lorac Unzipped Palette for lift and highlighting and the darker colors for depth and pop.

· On just the top lashes in-between the lash hairs, I added Lorac Front Of The Line PRO Liquid Eyeliner in Black to add a thicker, bolder lash without the heaviness of a liquid line sitting on top. Then I used Lorac Front Of The Line PRO Eyepencil in Bronze

· Eyes were finished with Lancome le Curler and Lorac Pro Mascara
BROWS
· To create dimension in her brows, as with her skin, I used a few shades of the Lorac Brow Pencil to brow “contour”

LIPS
· Lorac Pro Matte Lip Color in Nude and Rose Brown were applied with a lip brush for a smooth, luxe finish

· Lastly, I applied Lorac Alter Ego Gloss in Socialite all over with a brush for a subtle shine that wasn’t super glossy
