The Hoodie Shop has carried the B:Scott line since opening a year ago this March. Hoodie Shop co-founder Aleah Speranza and Designer Brandon Scott share a love for hooded apparel and style that balances fashion and function. As a buyer, Aleah was drawn to Brandon’s edgy but casual aesthetic. Aleah explains, “Brandon has this way of reinventing the hoodie season after season. His attention to detail, use of mixed materials, and obvious love for what he does shows in each and every garment he creates. He balances his creative energy and his skill with classic timeless menswear well. I have a lot of hoodies but most days of the week, you’ll find me rocking one of his.”

About The Hoodie Shop:

Named one of Daily Candy’s “Best New Boutiques of 2012” and featured in New York Magazine’s “Best of New York 2013”, The Hoodie Shop has quickly become the Lower East Side style destination for the laid back downtown set. The Hoodie Shop’s 181 Orchard Street store and clubhouse features the world’s leading collection of clothing with hoods. Not everything in the shop is a hoodie, but everything has a hood.

The creation of Hoodie Girl, Aleah Speranza and entertainment entrepreneur, Peter Shapiro (Brooklyn Bowl, The Capital Theatre, Relix Magazine, Wetlands), The Hoodie Shop was conceived to be a new kind of experience, one that exists at the intersection of clothing and culture. A “retail anomaly” (New York Magazine), the clubhouse morphs from retail space to movie theatre to intimate venue. Classic concert footage plays on a projection screen, but only when friend of The Hoodie Shop, Questlove, isn’t spinning from the secret DJ booth.

From pieces by breakout designers, to vintage finds, jackets, outerwear scarves and one-of-a-kind pieces available nowhere else, The Hoodie Shop stands out with its unique voice and viewpoint. Set to the soundtrack of classic rock played over the clubhouse’s concert sound system, Hoodie-fans shop and decompress in a space which has hosted not only designer trunk shows, but over 30 live music performances and served as the Bonnaroo365 Headquarters for the 2012 CMJ Music Marathon.
