Lilliana shares tips with me & our It’s a Glam Thing fans…

(Lilliana Vazquez, The Cheap Chica)

To be a fashionista on a budget is not easy! Is it even possible to “look chic for cheap”? It isn’t easy, but when you are blessed to have friends with insider knowledge to the fashion world it makes it much easier! Even people who don’t have friends with that knowledge are able to gain insight from style expert and the founder and editor-in-chief of an online fashion resource, The CheapChica’s Guide to Style Lilliana Vazquez.

A fashionista herself, working at W Magazine provided Lilliana with an insider’s knowledge of the fashion world. Inspired by the designers she met and worked with, she launched Applestar, a youthful and hip line of accessories, belts, and handbags. Within a year the collection was picked up by high-end boutiques such as Neiman Marcus Cusp and Nordstroms, establishing her as an up-and-coming designer and launching her as a fashion industry.

In addition to her fashion line, her ability to provide informative, accessible and relatable fashion commentary, has branded her a style expert with more than 250 appearances on NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, Bravo and The Style Network. Lilliana serves as a regular contributor to the Emmy nominated Nate Berkus Show and TBS’ Movie and a Makeover where she shares her frugally fashionable point of view with audiences nationally. She is currently a lifestyle correspondent for New York LIVE on NBC New York, where she covers everything fashion and is a fixture on the red carpet.

The CheapChica’s Guide to Style reaches a national audience of more than 250,000 women each month and is considered the authority for “looking chic for cheap”. It was a pleasure to meet with Lilliana and have her share her summer favorites with It’s a Glam Thing.
