Great Skincare System "La Contessa Advanced Skincare"

I tested this skin care system and was so pleased to see super results! I really love it.  Not only did I see a difference in my skins texture and appearance, but my friends expressed that they noticed my my skin appeared more porcelain, soft and youthful.

It is called La Contessa Advanced skincare.  There are 5 different products in the line to help maximize the quality if the skin including a cream with 30 SPF which is ideal to wear under makeup.  The sunscreen is light and absorbs nicely with no sticky feeling that you often get from using sunscreen products.

AHA foaming cleanser with glycolic acid which deep cleans and exfoliates. It should be used in the morning and evening.  The 10% alpha hydroxy is the highest allowed in an over the counter product. It is very effective as i felt the tingly effects when I tested it. It exfoliated my skin leaving a softer new skin that I could feel and see the results and even noticed the smoothness and better skin quality.

Natural Makeup that will Hydrate Skin

makeup natural ctFor those of you that want to try some natural makeup, I suggest Couler Caramel natural makeup.

Couleur Caramel, natural cosmetics are from the beauty capital of the world, Paris, which is one of the leading high-end make up lines. It provides vivid color, mineral oils,that are packed with pigment making these products long lasting.

The Couleur base de maquillage is very light but a very hydrating base which is an effective way to start your makeup. I love the squeezable  metallic container with the secure winding top.

I found the natural foundation to be very light and creamy and it gave me nice coverage that looked natural. The foundation went on smoothly and did not dry my skin.  I liked the hearty jars with the handsome wooden tops that it is packed in.

The lipstick was really nice because it added a great deal of moisture to my naturally dry lips. It comes in a thick cardboard container so it was very lightweight and could easily be put in a purse without the weight of some of the types of lipstick containers on the market.

Donna's Beauty Tips for Long Sexy Lashes

lash eyesFortunately there are many choices when trying to achieve this look.  First if you already have a thick full set of lashes you can enhance them by using mascara.  There are many great brands that create a nice result. I have had nice results with Double Extend mascara from L’Oreal, EYES TO KILL GORGIO ARMANI and GROW LUDCIOUS PLUMPING form REVLON. There are however many more effective brands to choose from, the key is to experiment with the various brands and types to see what works best for your personal preferences.

Many people love the look of false eyelashes for a more dramatic style. This can be great but they typically only last one to three days with care. The nice thing about them is that there is an ability to choose how long, short or thick of a lash you want.  Additionally, they come in theatrical colors for various occasions that may call for a more colorful presentation.

I have also seen nice results with long growing lashes from products like LATISE, that can be used to make your lashes grow longer, however the product has to be put on daily to maintain the long lashes, and since it is considered to be a prescription product it needs to be purchased from doctors that carry it.

My favorite lash discovery so far has been lash extensions which have been a great alternative for me.  I first discovered these beauty enhancing attractors from a friend who came to my house with the most beautiful set of lashes I’d ever scene. I learned that lash extensions typically last 3 weeks to a month with minimal maintenance.  The only other advice I want to express to you is that you need to go to someone who is highly specialized in dong lashes and make sure they are well trained and use high quality glue. Check around in your area and ask their clients for recommendations. I have heard that sometimes lashes can break off or get pulled out, so be aware this may be possible, however, I have had my lashes in for 6 months and have not had this problem.lash donna

I was a bit unsure when I first learned about this technique but decided to try the lash extensions for myself. When I went in for my first time I was put in a comfortable room similar to a massage room and got to lie on a bed where soft music played in a relaxing environment. The magic happened in about one hour and 20 minutes.  I closed my eyes as my lash practioner put on my extensions as I fell asleep. There was no discomfort whatsoever.  When I woke up she gave me the mirror and I had beautiful sexy lashes. I was given a paper with instructions as to how to take care of my new lashes and told to come in for regular monthly maintenance which she expressed would take a much shorter period of time than the initial visit.  The lashes are like my own but more dramatic. They are attached to the natural lashes with special glue.  I found the lashes look very natural, but are dramatic and sexy at the same time. I still get compliments on a daily basis which makes me really happy. I wake up in the morning with beautiful lashes and do not need mascara to look good. I feel good because I don’t have to fuss around with much extra makeup.  I love them!

I found the practical application of the exercises provided  in The Booty Bible to be straightforward and effective,  there being three different levels of booty workouts that are presented. First,  Alicia shows beginners simple but cogent movements, then explains to the readers the intermediate movements in a clear and uncomplicated way. Later she tells her readers how to work up to the advanced exercises, such as “dead lifts”.
Additionally, she provides expert advice about the right nutrition to help aid in the growth of the ultimate booty.I give the book a ten for its straightforward and effective advice. It is a must for a great back end. For more information on this book go to:

Add a Little Sparkle to Your New Year!

Well, here we are at the end of another year and a new one about to begin.  I can’t believe how fast this year has flown by.  Funny, my mom warned me when I was a little girl that the older I got, the faster time would seem to pass!

So, what will you be doing on New Year’s Eve?  I’m usually not too jazzed on the idea of attending big parties,but I’ve been invited to a great one in the Hollywood Hills this year that sound a little too good to miss!  I’m sure it will be one of those events where everyone there will look absolutely amazing!

Personally, before heading out to a fabulous event like this, I like to make a trip to my favorite spa for a little extra pampering.  A great massage, manicure, and pedicure are always on my list of “musts” before a special event.  But, if you really want to “glow” on New Year’s Eve or any other special occasion, you’ve got to got to go for the gold….24 Karat gold, that is!

On my last trip to Raya European Day Spa, my wonderful esthetician Suzanne convinced me to try a their 24K pure gold facial .  Yes, real gold!  I was a little skeptical, but I figured “why not?”.

After doing a little research I found out that gold has actually been used in beauty treatments for thousands of years, back to the days of Cleopatra. Apparently gold is filled with antioxidants and so it’s great in any anti-aging skin care regime.  Basically, antioxidants prevent skin damage and also help to heal previous damage to your skin by shedding damaged skin cells and promoting healthy, new skin cell growth. According to many experts and Suzanne, who has been in the beauty business for more than 30 years, there are more antioxidants in gold than in any other beauty product ingredient.

So, this was the process:  After my regular facial, she applied several 24K gold leaf sheets to my face, applied a little steam and then massaged my face until the gold was absorbed into my skin.

At first it was a little weird, but I have to admit I did feel “sparkly” afterwards and will definitely be getting one of these again!

Now, if your favorite spa doesn’t offer this treatment, another great option is to use Prana Spaceuticals AU 24K GOLD Serum, which contains 24 K gold flakes.  I featured it on a recent beauty segment for “Your Carolina with Jack and Kimberly” and have been using it as part of my nightly beauty ritual for the past two weeks. It does a fantastic job of smoothing and plumping the skin especially around the eyes, lips and neck area and seems to get rid of redness too.
