Celebrity Stylists Beware, Amika Obliphica Blow Up Spray is Here

 image005-2
Amika Blow Up Spray  is one of the best hair products on the market!!!! My hair is thick and curly and on my shelf, I have many products to maintain and moisturize my curly ringlets. The present style, however, is straight, glossy hair. There are ten spray bottles to curl or straighten my hair falling off my vanity. Every day, I rifle through the many bottles to help give my hair the moisture and shine for the desired look of the day. My husband shakes his head and cannot believe the amount of money and different products it takes to make my hair look beautiful. Every time I go to the hairdresser, they offer to sell me another product expected to do miraculous things to my hair. The confusion, shopping and money with all these products were making me crazy until I found Amika Blow Up Spray. The spray delivers volume and shape while moisturizing your hair. I could not believe the results, and literally threw away ten spray bottles.

My friends came over for the holiday and I was very excited to show them the results of the Amika Blow Up Spray. My hair was beginning to look flat, as it had become late in the afternoon. I bent my head over and sprayed each section and this revolutionary Ultra-lightweight mist brought my hair back to life. My friends were laughing and said it looked like a celebrity hairstylist transformed my hair in one-minute. The spray is easy to apply, not greasy, adds volume and lasts a long time.  My favorite ingredient the sea buckthorn berry in the product helps to repair split ends and eliminate frizz.  The argon oil vitamin C, Omega 3, 6, and 9 make it safe to use on color-treated hair.  Amika Blow Up Spray has helped me to become clutter free, I only need this spray for curly or straight hair!!!

Attack the Frizz and Bring Back the FAT CURLS

fatcurls-aboutcomp

When I read “DEFY THE FRIZZ” on a  Fat Curls Hair Care product, I thought to myself, “Could this be true?” Will I really find the curls underneath the frizz? I must admit, I have had an easy time with my hair this winter and did not have to deal with too much frizz. Now that the warm weather is upon us, that means rainy, hot and humid days and FRIZZ, FRIZZ and more FRIZZ! Fat Curls has a product line that will attack the frizz and bring back the curls. I have found two hair products in the Fat Curls line that is doing a beautiful job tackling my frizz. Fat Curls Defining Gel and Fat Curls Reactivating Spray.

Fat Curls Defining Gel is working quite well for me. I have dry, color treated hair and Fat Curls Defining Gel has definitely helped with bringing my curls back to life. After washing my hair, I apply a small amount of the gel on my damp hair and scrunch it in and I let my hair air dry, you can blow dry too,  the results are amazing!  This lightweight curl gel will restore and condition your curls from roots to ends. My hair is left with soft, shiny curls, I love it!

Fat Curls states that their  Defining Gel contains “Macadamia Seed Oil and Taurine to restore moisture, repair damaged hair and protect curls against heat damage. Fat Curls Gel is the frizz-control solution whether your hair is naturally curly, permed or wavy.” Fat Curl Defining Gel works great on naturally curly, permed or wavy hair.

Another of my favorites from  Fat Curls  is the Reactivating Spray. There are days when I need to touchup my hair and liven up my curls and Fat Curls Reactivating Spray does just that. I like it because It doesn’t create build-up and my hair isn’t sticky at the end of the day.

Fat Curls Reactivating Spray also contains Macadamia Seed Oil and Taurine helping  to restore moisture, repair damaged hair and protect curls against heat damage. This spray contains keratin protein as well to help strengthen hair fiber. Fat Curls Reactivating Spray will definitely control your  the frizz and bring out the curls you know are hiding, waiting to spring out.  You can use the spray on damp or dry hair, air dry or blow dry and touch-up as often as needed.

I found  some great information about Taurine found in Fat Curls at http://fatcurls.com/about.php

Taurine

Taurine

Hair is made of protein. Taurine penetrates into the hair to repair and strengthen each hair shaft. The result is healthier, manageable, bouncy hair, which can seal in moisture and color.

Curl Creating Mousse and Curl Enhancing Creme are 2 other products in the Fat Curls line and if they are just as amazing as the gel and the spray, Fat Curls is here to stay.

Fat Curls can be found at http://fatcurls.com/purchase.php, KERR DRUG, Kroger and Rite Aid.

No Fuss, All Fun With Hot Buns

NO FUSS                           ALL FUN                            HOT BUNS

Hot Buns is a unique hair accessory. I liked the fact that I could create a voluminous bun that I would not be able to create otherwise. Hot Buns was easy to use and with a little practice you will be able to have a perfect, chic bun in less than a minute. Just roll, snap and wrap, that’s all there is to it. Normally, when I make a bun in my hair for dance class, I use 4 to 6 bobby pins to keep my bun in place. With Hot buns, say good-bye to bobby pins. If I can create a perfect bun with Hot Buns, you can easily do it too.

My package of Hot Buns came in two sizes, small and medium. I used the medium size as you can see in my photos above. Hot Buns are available in light and dark shades.

Just    ROLL                         SNAP                               and  WRAP

To see the full video, go to  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hH3YsVHVGL8&feature=player_embedded#!

Heidi Klum’s Fragrance is Truly a “Surprise”

Unknown-53

SURPRISE! I was never one for floral scented perfumes, but after trying Heidi Klum’s new fragrance SURPRISE, I was amazed.

At first, the fragrance opens up with strong floral-citrus notes, giving a hint of apricot or mandarin oranges aroma, and adding a touch of what smells like, pink rose petals. Toward the end, the fragrance mellows out on a striking scent of spicy, warm and earthy sandalwood.

I can say this fragrance has an ever so changing beautiful composition…no wonder is it called, “Surprise”. The perfume will definitely excite your senses and put you in a cheerful and playful mood!! This is one floral scent I enjoy. Consider Heidi Klume’s exceptional fragrance when choosing your Mother’s Day SURPRISE!

Head over to: heidiklumfragrances.com for more of Heidi’s surprises!

When Thinking About Mother’s Day I Think About Roses

P-2.aspx

Recently, I was reminded of some wonderful childhood memories. L’Occitane Rose des Champs Perlized Hand Cream brought me back to my grandmothers rose garden, many years ago. I love the aroma of roses because roses  remind me of my grandmother and her beautiful rose garden. I remember that some of the roses were  for cutting and some were for smelling and the aromas were incredible.

L’Occitane Rose des Champs Perlized Hand Cream captured its small rose-bush oil pearls, and this delicate cream simply melts into your skin leaving you with the softest silkiest hands. The delicate rose scent will keep you coming back for more.  Place a L’Occitane Rose des Champs Perlized Hand Cream on your Mother’s pillow this Mother’s Day. Visit www.loccitane.com.

“The Taming of the ‘Do” Hair Show in Orlando, FL

When you love something as much as I do, you will go to the ends of the earth to make sure that you learn and study everything you can about it.  I have been a licensed hairstylist now for 5 years and every day is a new learning experience and a challenge.   Many people think that a hairstylist learns everything in school. That is VERY, VERY wrong. The real education of a stylist comes with their first job behind the chair.  We learn the basics in school; it’s kind of like learning you ABC’s.  It is up to us to continue to grow and learn more.  Ask any celebrity hairstylist, or top stylist and they will tell you everything I just said.

Why am I telling you this, you are probably thinking?  On Monday, April 29, I took my skills to the next level at a hair show in Orlando FL, called The Taming of the ‘Do at the Shakespeare Theatre.  It was there that I learned the latest trends and techniques that I will use in my career.   Have you ever heard of a Texture Reformation? Maybe you remember it as a perm.  How about a texture reformation wrapped with pot scrubbers? Yes, POT SCRUBBERS.  That was the coolest thing I ever seen in my life.  Or a 4 strand braid up style? The latest cutting techniques?  With so much more to learn and share with others, I will never stop learning.

When I go to a show like that, it reminds me why I became a hairdresser.  My dream is to be a hair guru.  I love hair and even though I have only been doing this for 5 short years, I know my goal is right ahead.

Slick It On Back

One of the most talked about looks this season is the slicked back bun. Worn high or low this knotted look works on every hair texture.

Here’s the secret to achieving this sleek and chic look, to share with your readers:

§  Step One: Starting on damp hair, apply from root to ends a shine enhancing product mixed with a straightening balm. Try UNITE Shina Liquid Drops ($29.95) and Lazer Straight Relaxing Fluid ($26.25).

§  Step Two: Next, using a paddle brush, slick hair back into the desired spot for the bun, wrapping it around and securing it with bobby pins.

§  Step Three: The secret to this look is making sure to combat any flyaways, so spray a strong hold hairspray allover. Try UNITE Session Max Hairspray ($29.95).

All UNITE Hair products are available on www.UNITEHair.com
