This Valentine’s Day Celebrate with BCBGMAXAZRIA bon Genre

It was the elegance of the perfume bottle that caught my attention. The vibrant purple bottle, (my favorite color) was resting on a glass shelve at a local fine department store and I just couldn’t resist. I never bought a perfume based on its color or design but when I smelled the fragrance, I loved it. The amazing fragrance in the purple bottle with an open flower adorning it is called BCBGMAXAZRIA bon Genre.

I was very curious as to what the name stood for. I do know that Max Azria is a french fashion designer, based in Los Angeles and  founded the women’s clothing line BCBGMAXAZRIA.  The letters BCBG translated in French  means “bon chic, bon genre” in other words, “good style, good attitude”, and BCBGMAXAZRIA bon Genre is a  true reflection of its name.

I found the fragrance to be quite elegant and sophisticated and can easily be worn both day time and evening.  BCBGMAXAZRIA describes this newest fragrance as, “A seductive scent with an alluring air of mystery – bold notes of Lychee, Red Berries, Bergamot and Black Pepper ORPUR, result in a kick of attitude and a vivacious fashion energy.”  Mid notes of Jasmine, tuberose, tiger lily, cardamom and Base notes of Australian sandalwood, golden amber, black vanilla and patchouli make this ultra feminine fragrance a “must-have” for every woman who loves to smell elegant.

Marissa Webb’s Runway Hairstyles Created by TRESemmé

Marissa Webb’s Autumn/Winter 2014 Collection was influenced by the lifestyle of a fast-paced “industry girl.”  The collection is refined and tailored with an urban edge including pieces that are a bit oversized, yet feminine, for an effortlessly cool look that is never too perfect.  To bring the designer’s vision to life, TRESemmé Stylist Jeanie Syfu created two hairstyles that were polished yet undone, with natural matte texture and a whimsical, airy finish.
FOLLOW JEANIE’S TIPS TO RE-CREATE THE STYLES
Dual texture:
  1. Apply TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Foaming Mousse on damp hair, and rough-dry by flipping hair over and gently pulling at the roots for lift
  2. Once dry, use a flat brush to lightly comb the hair
  3. Starting at the nape, take large horizontal sections and mist with TRESemmé Thermal Creations Curl Activator Spray.  Wrap hair loosely around the barrel of 1¼-inch and 1-inch curling irons, leaving ends out.  Alternate between irons to create an irregular wave and work your way to the top of the head
  4. Create a messy center part, and flat iron from the part to eye level
  5. Mattify hair with TRESemmé Fresh Start Renewal Dry Shampoo, then brush out to get a natural airy texture
  6. Spray the top with NEW TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Illuminating Shine Spray for a dual texture, that is both matte and shiny

Messy Top-Knot:
  1. Apply a liberal amount of TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Foaming Mousse to hair and rough dry with fingers, lifting at the roots
  2. Once dry, lightly brush hair and spray with NEW TRESemmé Fresh Start Renewing Dry Shampoo to mattify
  3. Backbrush the hairline for an airy perimeter of wisps.  Then, use your hands to loosely pull hair up into a high ponytail and fasten with an elastic
  4. Backbrush ponytail and twist loosely into a bun, leaving ends out. Fasten with large hair pins
  5. Finish with TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Finishing Spray

One Direction’s Newest Fragrance “Our Moment” is the Perfect Valentine’s Gift

As a huge fan of the boy-band One Direction I was extremely excited when I learned that they were coming out with a fragrance! When I first ran to the store to get Our Moment, it was sadly sold old but luckily for me there were still some testers. After getting to smell it, my hunch that it would be amazing was confirmed! Now that I have my own bottle of Our Moment, I can wear it whenever I want! The members of One Direction themselves created this perfume as well as the packaging and the bottle to really make us fans feel like we were getting a gift straight from the boys themselves.

They included all of their favorite smells including wild berries, pink grape fruit and jasmine petals to create something I’ve never smelt before! The strong scents of the pink grapefruit and redcurrants was brought down to a much softer feel with the mix of jasmine petals and fresh freesia, as well as dry woodsy tones of musk and patchouli.The mixture of all of these scents leaves One Direction’s perfume as soft and flavorful, and one that I know I will be able to wear anywhere! Our Moment would make an incredible gift for any girl this Valentines Day, whether she’s a fan of One Direction or not. One Directions fragrance, Our Moment, will be loved by all!!
