Author C. Joybell C. once said, “It is when you lose sight of yourself, that you lose your way. To keep your truth in sight you must keep yourself in sight and the world to you should be a mirror to reflect to you your image; the world should be a mirror that you reflect upon.” This is exactly what Kelly Van Nelson conveys in her collection of poetry titled Graffiti Lane. It is her journey, the good the bad and the ugly. By putting it to paper Kelly turns her experiences into a way to bounce back from her underdog world and help others in the process.
