Beauty & Skincare Products That Are Getting The Job Done Now. (Part One)..

Beauty & Skincare Products – Is your skin sensitive? Is it dry & itchy, eczema prone, oily, normal or acne prone? Do you have fine lines and wrinkles? You just bought a new product. Do you love it and keep it? Do you hate it and return it? Do you keep it in hopes to try it again for a better result? Do you exchange it for another product?

Take a minute to figure out the final cost of buying skincare & cosmetics, dollars and time,  products over a year. Over a lifetime? OK, so a minute may not be enough time. Maybe you don’t want to think about it at all. Maybe you love spending money on products and don’t care. Maybe you are frustrated with the costs and time spent. Maybe you are a beauty product junkie with no stopping!

How many bad reactions have you had to skincare products even from the well known brands? According to WebMD, “For some people, tretinoin wrinkle creams and serums can cause irritant contact dermatitis. Many people are sensitive to sunscreen. Beauty products containing alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) may cause problems. The labels “hypoallergenic,” “dermatologist tested,” “sensitivity tested,” or “non-irritating” don’t guarantee that your skin won’t react.”

I have been using skincare and makeup products for over 40 years. I have had ups and downs, product love, product hate, frustration and the best and worst skin and makeup days. I have kept products I hated. Never re purchased products I loved (maybe I would find something even better). Looking back, it actually has not been fun. Honestly, I am tired of the ups and downs, the break outs and rashes, dry skin, burns and and the money and time spent on getting it right.

At this time in my life, I am more older and wiser and know what works and what doesn’t….Finally! I know what is worth the money and what isn’t. Here, I am going to share some of my favorite products with you. Keep in mind, I am in my fifties with mature skin and specific skin issues. These are products that work for me, products that are on my A-List. They may not work for you.

I love and have become comfortable and confident using these. These are not all products from the same line. A well-formulated product from any line will work with a well-formulated product from another line as long as they work for your skin type. I really don’t think that your skin can’t tell the difference of you are using an eye cream from Brand X or a Day Cream from Brand Y as long as they work for you.

lip sleeping mask

One of the products that I have had nothing but great results with is the Mamonde Sleeping Mask. Your body boosts blood flow to the skin while you snooze which means you wake up to a healthy glow (Be sure to get enough sleep). But be aware that the air around you can dry out your lips while you sleep. A heavy or hydrating lip cream or balm is recommended. As long as I can remember, I have had product on my lips overnight. The Plum Blossom Mamonde Lip Sleeping Mask is a forever favorite. I apply a generous amount before bed. I make sure that I get it on over the pigmented lips edges also. Seductiveness of  a woman’s lips surely can not be underrated.

NASSIFMD Line Eraser

For a supercharged way to fend off forehead lines, I massage NASSIFMD Forehead Line Eraser into my skin before bed each night, being sure to get it massaged well into the top eyebrow area. Then leave it on while I sleep. I use it in the morning also, just a lesser amount. Love!

DermaDoctor Rescue and Protect Facial Cream

Wrinkle Revenge, the name alone made me try it. Wrinkle Revenge Rescue & Protect Facial Cream by DermaDoctor “helps improve the appearance of the visible signs of aging and leaves skin feeling fabulous.” (taken from the website). Although DermaDoctor Wrinkle Revenge was formulated for the face. I use this only on my neck and decolletage. It works wonders. I use it every night. I also massage it onto my upper breasts. I use it the same during the day followed by a sunscreen. I have never had luck with a cream, serum or emulsion formula on my cheeks, nose and chin. There I use a generic Retin A product to control my acne.
