One of It’s A Glam Thing’s favorite charities, Los Angeles based Special Needs Network, advocating for children with autism and other developmental disabilities held their annual gala at Sony Pictures Studios this past Saturday night. Once again, led by their fearless leader, TV analyst, host and human & civil rights attorney Areva Martin, the evening was a total smash hit!

The Bold & The Beautiful’s Sean Kanan served as Master of Ceremonies and OWN’s Karamo Brown hosted the evening’s red carpet. Glamorous celebrities, dignitaries and others strutted their finest formal attire all in the spirit of raising money for worthy and deserving children. Some of the special guests included four time NAACP winner Camille Winbush, recent Emmy winner Patrika Darbo, LA City Attorney Mike Feuer, former New Orlean’s Saints James Anderson, Dancing With The Stars Edyta Sliwinska, Bret Green and Erica Marie Sanchez from CBS’ The Inspectors, CBS anchor Pat Harvey, actor Oba Babatunde, television personality Kiki Shepard and more.

Martin presented an award to Shannon Hunt, Senior Producer of TV’s The Doctors on behalf of The Doctors. Los Angeles County Fire Chief and SSN board member, Daryl Osby presented two awards to Alva Mason, Director of African American Strategies for Toyota and to Less Ybarra, Executive Director of Southern California Blue Cross/Medicaid at Anthem Blue Cross for Anthem Blue Cross. SNN board member Bonnie Berry Lamon presented an award to the amazing Henri Ford, MD, Vice President and Surgeon in Chief at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
