They Don’t Have to Know It’s Fake

Every time I am on the beach I do the weirdest thing. I put my sunscreen on all over my body then I take my t-shirt and put it on over my bathing suit to protect my shoulders and back from the sun.  Like many fair skinned people, I have a fear of getting badly sunburned.  When I was younger I wished I could be like the other girls and get a suntan.

After about my 7th time getting sunburned, I decided to give up all together with even trying to get sun tanned by the sun.  When I went to beauty school and learned about how the sun can do some serious damage to your skin, I decided to try the “tan from a can” technique.  I tried all kinds of lotions and bronzers to just add a little something, but everything just seemed to make me look orange. I kept thinking to myself “you are not a pumpkin.”  After my last failed attempt I did exactly what I did with the sun, I gave up.

When I had to give on trying to get a tan all together, I was so devastated because I wanted to have a little color added to my pale white skin.  I swear I’m so white I’m translucent.

When I first received Fake Bake 60 Minute Self Tanner, I was very afraid to try it because of my past.   When I finally got the guts to try Fake Bake, I immediately fell in love.  For once  I WAS NOT ORANGE!!!!!!! My skin just glowed with that healthy sun kissed glow without the harmful rays.

When people complimented me on how great my skin looked I couldn’t have been happier.

So next time you want to get a beautiful glow, rethink the rays and go for Fake Bake 60 Minute Self Tanner, and see what it will do for you.

Big Hair, Big Personality

“The bigger the hair the smaller the hips”… just one of the many lessons Fran Drescher taught us in her show “The Nanny”. Ever since I have become a hairdresser, I noticed that big hair is the trend. Just like leggings and ballet slippers big hair is making it’s come back. I guess my mom was right, trends do repeat themselves.

One of the most frequently asked questions I get is “how can I make my hair bigger”? I know how hard it can be to make your hair bigger when it just doesn’t want to cooperate. That’s when you need to crank out Clairol Professional PRO4 PLEX Volumizing Mousse. With an extra strong hold to keep your style intact all day, PRO4PLEX mousse is also safe to use on color treated hair as well as not leaving your hair feeling sticky or greasy.

So when you need a little volume boost, grab your Clariol Professional PRO4PLEX to give you a long lasting all day hold and get the height you desire. Just be sure to take your heels off when going through a door so you don’t hit your head. 🙂

Be sure to visit www.clairolpro.com and see just what Clariol products can do for you.

It’s All About Silk

Curls can be fun and sexy, but to get them that way seems impossible. With all the gel, mousse, and hairspray it takes more time to do your hair then it does to make breakfast.  If you could get that same sexy look with just one product you would do it right? I knew you would.

BIOSILK Beach Texture Spray can give you those fun, sexy just got off the beach curls.  Made with natural silk, vitamins, herbs, and texturizing salts BIOSILK Beach Texture Spray creates curls to look natural and adds just the right amount of volume.  I mean come on right? What curly hair babe wants flat, stuck to the head, curls.

When I started using BIOSILK Beach Texture Spray, I noticed a change in my curls from the first use.  There was a lot less frizz and the look of dryness. BIOSILK Beach Texture Spray gave them a “new life” and they seem very happy.

So throw away all that unnecessary product and go for the one that does it all, BIOSILK Beach Texture Spray and give your curls new life.

Beautiful Skin Starts with Murad

The biggest concern many women have as they age is losing the luminosity and elasticty in their skin.   We all wish we could be like Cher and “Turn Back Time” but sometimes that feels next to impossible. Unfortunately, we can’t all look like Cher but we can “Turn Back Time” in our own way.

With Murad’s Intensive-C Radiance Peel we can get back the young, vibrant skin we once had.  Enriched with Glycolic Acid to exfoliate your skin and Vitamin C and Indian Fig to bring back skin’s luminosity, Murad’s skin care is a plus for your daily skin care routine.

Now I know that people think I’m crazy because I’m 21, they think I shouldn’t have to worry about such things. Well, that is not entirely true.  I’m all about prevention.  Starting when I was just 16 years old, I started the anti-aging process.  My mom and many others thought I was crazy, but I kept doing it.

I suggest to all girls (teens as well) to start their own skin care regimen.  Murad skin care products are my favorite products to use.

Erika Katz makes a foot scrub

Happy Friday! It’s that time of year again; New York Fashion Week. As the world’s hottest fashion designers and biggest stars make their way to the Big Apple, everyone is gearing up to make an impression. Whether you’re working long hours behind the scenes or simply strutting in your hottest heels, there’s no doubt that Fashion Week can take its toll on your feet.

Erika Katz, beauty expert and author of Bonding over Beauty, has created a DIY Strawberry Peppermint Foot Scrub that is the perfect remedy! Just follow these simple simple steps and you’ll have a soothing foot scrub in no time – now sit back and relax!

Strawberry Peppermint Foot Scrub

Ingredients:

§         2 cups pureed strawberries

§         1 tablespoon of olive oil

§         1 tablespoon of vegetable oil

§         2 tablespoons of granulated white sugar

§         4 drops peppermint essential oil

 To Make:

Mix all the ingredients well and put into a pretty jar. It’s great to use strawberries in this recipe because they are rich in salicylic acid which helps dead skin shed more easily. The sugar granules also help to exfoliate skin but are super gentle on delicate skin. You can also keep this recipe in the fridge for up to one week.

To use your scrub, simply rub your feet gently in a circular motion, rinse with warm water, and enjoy the results!
