Park Avenue Fashion Week comes to Orlando

A lot of excitement is coming up in the Bay Area here in Florida. Not only is football season back, the temp is getting cooler, but also Park Avenue Fashion Week is making its way to Orlando. I can never seem to get away from the excitement of designers, models, runways and more. And with Park Avenue Fashion Week in just 29 days, I can hardly sit still. This 7 day event will take place October 11-17 with an Emerging Designers Contest, and will celebrate the Winter Park fashion retail and design community. Saturday the 17th will be the runway event under a beautiful 20,000 sq. ft. tent, you will not want to miss. This epic event is presented by Harriet Lake. One featured designer will be dear friend ( whom I met at the M.I.A to the Bay Fashion Show) the Pharaoh of Fashion Mr. Lance Stephens A.K.A Hakatre.

Ingredients:
– 1/3 cup of dark cocoa
– 1/4 cup of honey
– 3 tablespoons of heavy cream
– 2 tablespoons of powdered oatmeal

Mix all the ingredients together. Apply the mixture on the skin and wait 15 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water.

You don’t need the beach to get beach waves

Beach days may be almost over but that doesn’t mean your beach hair and gorgeous waves need to stop! See how you can get messy, beachy waves with this easy tutorial using a flat iron!

Step 1: Begin by brushing hair with the John Frieda by Conair Sleek Finish Cushion Brush to remove knots and avoid any pulling.

Step 2: Next, spray hair with a heat protectant and heat activated styling spray, such as KMS California FREESHAPE 2-in-1 styling + finishing spray. Than separate the top sections of your hair from the bottom with clips. Curl the bottom layers first and work your way up. Start with a one-inch section of your hair.

Step 3: Use a 1-inch straightening iron. I suggest John Frieda by Conair Sleek Finish 1” Flat Iron. Starting a few inches from the roots, curl the iron away from your face. Hold the straightener with your wrist and your hand facing towards you and twist away from your face in a clockwise motion.

Step 4: Keep turning the iron as you approach the end of your hair and always keep it moving. If you stay too long in one spot you may create dents in the hair.

Step 5: Slowly release the clamp as you get close to the ends for a more modern look. To keep the look wavy instead of too curly, leave the ends out.
