I love the headbands from One Up Bands. There were so many styles and colors to choose from, I had difficulty doing so. One of my favorites is the “Non-Slip Athletic Headbands”. With my thick long hair, this particuliar one works beautifully. The outside bands come in an array of beautiful patterns and colors while the underside is velvety soft. The elastic strap is very comfortable and will not pull on your hair when you slip it off. The non-slip bands are available in 20″ lengths and have an adjustable band ranging from 18-20.5″. One Up Bands offer other options besides headbands. Try some of the elastic bands (Shown below). They are comfortable, lightweight, and very stretchy! They are similar to the hair ties. They are available in a variety of fabrics and it will be difficult to choose from those too. I use both stretchy headbands and hair ties when I work out or going for a casual look. The ties are designed to be “no-slip”and will not damage your hair. These hair ties are flexible and will conveniently fit in your purse, gymbag or car. My mom even carries some of them on her because I am always asking if she has an extra.
For a fun look, try a tie-back headband (shown below). The tie back headbands are very comfortable and are anti-microbial. They are made of 100% moisture-wicking fabric, and are available in a number of colors and designs. This tie-back headband is the perfect workout accessory. Plastic surgery of the labia, commonly referred to as labiaplasty, is a procedure that’s done on an outpatient basis on women who would like to change the appearance of their labia. They may, for example, want to make their labia symmetrical, or they may want to make it smaller. If you’ve decided that this is a procedure that you need, the key is to work with an experienced doctor, such as David Ghozland, to ensure the procedure will go smoothly and safely and that you’ll get the results that you want.
One of the most common questions regarding labiaplasty has to do with the recovery after the surgery. Keep reading to learn more about what you can expect, and how long it will take to recover from this procedure.
What to Expect
After your procedure is complete, you might experience a bit of swelling and discomfort. This should resolve completely, however, after about one or two weeks. Also, any labial incisions that were made will typically heal very well, and they’ll rarely ever be noticeable.
Taking Care of Yourself
Once you’re back home after your labiaplasty is complete, you need to take good care of yourself and follow your doctor’s orders closely. Keep in mind that everyone will react differently to the same surgery, and your body will have its own speed at which it recovers, so patience is key.
Also, because the labia are sensitive, you may need painkillers in the days following the procedure, especially while the labia are bruised, sore, and swollen, which can make urinating and sitting uncomfortable.
To reduce swelling, you can apply cold compresses to the area, and you can also relieve some discomfort by wearing loose clothing. Maintaining an extremely high standard of hygiene is also imperative in order to keep the area from becoming infected. You should rinse your vagina each time you use the bathroom, and showering twice a day is recommended as well.
Returning to Work
Following a labiaplasty, you can probably go back to work after about three or four days. You should, however, still take care of yourself by avoiding thongs, tampons, and sex for roughly six weeks.
If any problems arise at any point in time during your healing process, whether you’re at home or at work, contact your doctor immediately.
Total Healing
Even though you can go back to work fairly quickly after a labiaplasty, you should still limit physical activity, such as exercise, for about a month. And even though the swelling and discomfort should subside within two weeks, total healing and total recovery could take as long as three months. Your doctor will know best, however, and can specifically tell you how long you should expect the recovery to take.
Before getting a labiaplasty, be sure to get the facts so that you can know what to expect before, during, and after the procedure. It will take quite a bit of time for your body to heal and get back to normal, but once you’re all better, you’ll love the results.

1.) Prep wet hair for blow drying by applying a palm sized amount of Macadamia Professional Foaming Volumizer ($19.95) to the crown to add body and Macadamia Professional Blow Dry Lotion ($24) through the lengths to smooth and prevent heat damage.
2.) Blow dry large sections with a 2” round brush to create volume. Section off three mid-sized sections at the crown and wrap with Velcro rollers. Let the rollers cool for 15 minutes.
3.) While the rollers are cooling wrap a 1.25” curling iron around the remaining hair to create waves on all sides. Keep the ends straight.
4.) Take the rollers out and gently tease the top of the crown. Create a middle part.
5.) To add extra definition to curls, gently clamp a straightener on each curve of the hair. Hold for a few seconds, then move to the next bend you’d like to make look perfectly undone.
6.) When you’re finished with the straightening, gently brush the hair while being careful to keep the volume. Smooth the front pieces to frame the face.
