Get The Look: Rita Ora at the 2018 Grammys

Celebrity Makeup Artist Kathy Jeung worked with Rita Ora for the 2018 Grammy Awards – below is a breakdown of the look!

Who: Rita Ora at the 2018 Grammy Awards
The Inspiration: With the classic shape of Ralph & Russo dress, Kathy wanted to keep the focus on Rita’s complexion and eyes – giving her skin a satin finish with a touch of radiance and highlighter to accentuate Rita’s bone structure, and a simple glossy eye with lashes that lift the outer corners.
How to Get the Look:
Lips
Kathy applied Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour in Plum This Go to give Rita a dark, bold lip.
Skin
Kathy applied Rimmel London Lasting Finish Breathable Primer all over Rita’s cleansed, toned and moisturized face to keep makeup fresh and long-lasting, creating a smooth, pore minimized canvas for makeup. She then applied Rimmel London #Insta Conceal & Correct underneath Rita’s eyes, erasing dark circles. Next, Kathy applied Rimmel London Match Perfection Concealer in Light/Medium with her ring finger, in a tapping motion underneath the eyes to blend into the rest of Rita’s face. Kathy mixed Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25HR Foundation in 303 True Nude with small amount of Rimmel London Good to Glow Highlighter in 003 Soho Glow to give her skin luminosity, by applying it with a flat foundation brush in broad strokes over Rita’s face, and blended with a damp sponge, giving Rita a natural looking finish. Kathy set the foundation with Rimmel London’s #Insta Fix & Matte Translucent Powder, helping to keep Rita’s forehead, sides of the nose and cheeks shine-free.
Cheeks
Kathy used Rimmel London Kate Moss Sculpting & Highlighting Kit in Golden Sands to highlight the tops of Rita’s cheekbones, above her jawline and down length of her nose. She contoured the hollows under her cheekbones, just under her jawbone and under her chin using a narrow wedge brush and applied the blush using a rounded brush on the apples of her cheeks and extended towards temples.
Kathy finished up the cheeks by using Rimmel London’s Insta Duo Contour Stick to highlight along the tops of the cheekbones and blend with a damp sponge.
Eyes
Kathy applied the beige shade of the Rimmel London Magnif’Eyes Shadow Contouring Palette Blush Edition to the browbone and blended the matte taupe color into the crease. Then she applied Rimmel London’s ScandalEyes Eyeshadow Stick in Witness White to the inner corners of Rita’s eyes and blended for a trace of highlight. She then added Rimmel London Oh My Gloss in Clear to Rita’s eyelids to add a glossy, high shine. She lined Rita’s eyes using Rimmel London ScandalEyes Precision Micro Eyeliner in Black to create a very narrow wing along the lashline. To finish the eyes, she applied two coats of Rimmel London Shake It Fresh Mascara in Black to the upper lashes only to lengthen and thicken Rita’s lashes.
Brows
Kathy used Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow Pencil to fill in and extend Rita’s brow shape, followed by Rimmel London Brow This Way Brow Pomade in Medium to softly add color and keep the brow hairs in place. She finished the brows by applying Rimmel London Brow This Way Highlighting Pencil to lift the arches of the brow and add highlight to the brow bone.

For the 6th braid closest to the ear, part out a section and braid from behind the ear towards the front. These will hang forward, and get decorated with beads. Celebrity Makeup Artist Lisa Storey worked with Miranda Kerr for tonight’s Vanity Fair After Party. Below is how to get the look from Lisa.

Inspiration: Lisa went for a natural but slightly defined look that was radiant and soft, creating an overall pretty and delicate feel.

Face: Lisa lightly applied Avon True Color Liquid Foundation all over Miranda’s face, then used Avon True Color Flawless Concealer Stick under the eyes and areas that needed a little more coverage. She lightly dabbed the concealer around the lip line to prep for lipstick. On the cheeks, she blended two shades of blush, Avon True Color Luminous Blush in Antique Rose and Avon True Color Luminous Blush in Candlelight, to create a delicate, flushed glow.

Brows and Eyes: On the eyes, Lisa started with the peach shade from the Avon True Color Multi-Finish Eyeshadow Quad in Mocha Latte. She applied it across the eye lid followed by shade #4 from the quad on the outer corners (top and bottom) to give some depth to the eye and applied #3 from the quad as a contour for the eye socket. She blended and smoothed the edges of the colors together to create a soft but upward finish to the eye. Lisa applied a few coats of NEW Avon True Color SuperExtend Nourishing Mascara in Black to Miranda’s lashes to open the eyes. Miranda’s brows were kept soft, just lightly defined with Avon True Color Glimmerstick Brow Definer in Dark Brown and highlighted with #1 from the shadow quad.
Lips: Lisa first applied Avon Ultra Luxury Lip Liner in Rosebud, followed by NEW Avon True Color Nourishing Lipstick in Peony Blush. She blotted it, reapplied then with her fingertips patted the center of the lips with Avon True Color Lipstick in Lava Love to give the color a boost.

Get The Look: Paris Jackson at the 2017 Grammy’s

unnamed-9

Who: Paris Jackson at the 2017 Grammy Awards

The Look: Cool girl glam

The Inspiration:  Rimmel London Make-up Artist Jo Baker wanted to create a careful balance between Paris Jackson’s outfit and makeup. Paris wore a dazzling disco inspired Balmain jumpsuit in an array of pastel hues, with thigh high slits up each leg and a plunging neckline – so Jo opted to keep her makeup smooth and natural with subtle details.

How to Get the Look:

Skin

Jo wanted Paris’ skin to look flawless and healthy. After dotting Rimmel London Match Perfection Concealer around her eyes, nose and mouth, Jo then applied a sheer coat of Rimmel London InstaFlawless Skin Tint to add a natural looking glow with smooth creamy finish. The result is a balanced, soft and radiant glow. InstaFlawless Skin Tint is perfect for this kind of event – it acts as a primer, smoothing the texture of the skin so that it sits pretty while also providing a much needed SPF15 for that mid-day LA heat!

Cheeks

Paris and Jo both love face sculpting! Jo used a contour that has a soft de-focusing finish so that when the camera light hits, it looks like beautiful skin and not a harsh stripy line. To create a subtle and undetectable sculpted look, Jo used a medium sized blush brush to apply Rimmel London Insta Flawless Matte Setting Powder to help apply an even contour and sculpt effect. Then, using her favorite Rimmel London Kate Sculpting & Highlighting Kit in Golden Sands, she applied smooth strokes of the contour shade from the sides of her mouth all the way up towards the top of her ears.

Eyes Jo loves Paris’ intense ice-blue eyes. So without hesitation, they opted for a natural and clean eyelid and concentrated on Paris’ lashes. She applied a generous amount of Rimmel London Scandaleyes Mascara for a long lasting mega volume effect. This mascara and applicator brush gives lashes a curl by pushing them up with each stroke.

Brows

Jo combed through her brows and added several strokes of Rimmel LondonProfessional Eyebrow Pencil in Dark Brown to fill in any gaps and give her strong, yet natural brows with a sharp angular look. Using the nifty brow comb, Jo repeated the process until her brows were the desired shape and fullness. The key to Paris’ brows are the razor tight line creating the arch, so Jo used her concealer brush with the leftover concealer on it to refine and define the edges to make sure it looked clean and dramatic.

Lips

To finish off the look, Jo lined her lips using Rimmel London Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner in Innocent which is a soft nude beige tone which even has a soft sheen to it. She kept it simple with her new favorite Rimmel London The Only 1 Matte in Trendsetter which is the perfect blend of warm and cool tones. For that perfect graceless nude that glides on creamy and feels super comfortable on the lip as well.
