Here I will be talking about breasts, so before I even get in to this post, I want to remind you of the importance of doing regular breast self-exams, mammography’s and regular visits with your ob/gyn. Read about breast health at the Mayo Clinic HERE.

I was as flat as a board when I reached breast maturity age. My breast buds never bloomed. I was body shamed in both elementary and high school. One of the most memorable comments I recall is “You would fit under a door but your nose would get stuck”.  “Flat as a pancake” was a common phrase I would hear.

In my late twenties I got a boob job, not because of anyone else or because of lack of confidence but just because, I wanted boobs. I was not going for a stealth boob job but just an average look for my body type. I got my boobs. I love my boobs. I still have them, many, many years later. It sometimes amazes me to think about the age of my implants and how great they still look.  My surgeon was Dr. Brent Mollekon  in Beverly Hills.

A soon as I finished up with the Dr. Instructions, and my breasts settled, I began the practice of sleeping in sports bras, well fitting comfortable ones.  After time, I added a second sports bra, yes I sometimes slept in two sports bras.  I have no personal medical evidence or documentation on this but I truly feel this has helped my breasts stay “up” and perky and look great after all these years.

I recently checked out a close-out retailers women’s clothing section.  The round clothing racks were bunched together and not very organized. They, actually, were barely organized at all. I walked among them slowly and with a plan of attack.

I narrowed styles I would explore down by color; white, ivory, black, navy blue and by style; short sleeve and sleeveless. No buttons.  Into about  the second half hour of looking, I found a top by Style & Co.  It was priced fantastically at $9.99. I grabbed it and carried it to the register without looking any further. I wore it the next day with a pair of Black Danskin Yoga Pants. My pant of choice these days. The top can nicely be styled up or down.

My mom loved it and suggested I try to find another one, maybe in navy blue.  I  did not feel like hitting the close out store again.  I, instead, searched on line and found another of the Layered Look Scoop Neck Top, (pictured below in black), the same style but in Navy Blue as my mom suggested. It was priced at a little over $20 on Amazon.  I purchased it quickly.  It was the last one in size medium. I never got to experience the fit in a size small but the medium seemed to do just fine. The top was delivered to me  two days later (which is today). I am as happy with it as I was with the close out store purchase.

The Style & Co. top has a few descriptions on Amazon. They each vary a little. Here is one:

I wanted to share this brand with those who have not heard of it and a reminder to those who have.  It is available at Macy’s stores also and is “worth a look”.

Amazon Shopping for the World’s Biggest Selection of Products

I shop at Amazon for things I otherwise can not find easily and for the lower pricing. Take for instance, Drawstring Travel Shoe Bags. They come in assorted colors, sizes, materials and styles.  I recently bought a package of 10 travel shoe bags. I use one in my Zumba tote for my Zumba sneakers & socks another for my Zumba Toning Sticks. They are different patterns so I know what is inside when reaching in my bag quickly.  In my gym bag, I use one for my gym shoes and socks. I have one in my car that holds my flip flops for when I suddenly decide to stop in for a pedicure or for sore feet.  I use one to hold a packable travel wrap in my car. I can easily pop it into any of my totes for comfort wear in restaurants, by the fire or at the beach at night. These are bags that are “must have’s” for weekend or long term travel as they prevent your shoes from soiling your clothes and from getting scuffed.

Lip Gloss Applicators are a must-have for the makeup professional. I use them for my clear or light shades of lip gloss/lip plumper. I hardly ever wear the clear or light shades alone.  I usually layer the clear or light shades over a richer or brighter colored lip stick.  Using the applicator included with the gloss causes it to get colored by the various lipsticks you are using it over. Soon it no longer stays clear or the nice clean color that you purchased.  Plus if your lips aren’t clean, such as after eating in a restaurant, or at the beach, Yuck!  Don’t use the original applicator. That even goes for colored glosses.  There are various kinds of applicators. Some of the applicators are reusable, others are disposable.

From Amazon, I order Alcohol Wipes. I get the Clear Touch brand 100 for $5.99 or . I use them to clean my nails off after polish removal.  I use them for bugs bites or to get ink or makeup swatches off of my skin. They remove hairspray that is stuck on mirrors. You can use them to clean off phones and surfaces.  They are very versatile and I always have some on hand.

My absolute favorite Mascara is available on Amazon. Dejavu Fiber Wig Pure Black Mascara with extra long wand. I try to recall where I found this fabulous mascara in the first place.  I think it must have been at a beauty trade show.  I love it because it is a film type, fiber mascara so it washes off easily with water.  I very gently rub my lashes with lukewarm water and it comes off. I have been using it for years and years. I have never had a problem with it running during wear or damaging my lashes.
