handcrafted jewelry with fitness in mind from Fitjewels

It all started with a Fitbit exercise tracker. I wore my tracker every day until one evening as I was getting dressed to go out, I realized the Fitbit tracker just didn’t fit in with dressy clothes. That’s when fitjewels  came to my rescue. The pendant worked beautifully, but sometimes even a beautiful pendant just doesn’t fit in with certain wardrobe choices. Again,  fitjewels came to my rescue with their beautiful line of bracelets that accommodate my Fitbit and my new Fitbit Alta.

As you can see from the photo above, the FITBIT FLEX Jewelry Bracelet Soma, looks simply elegant on the wrist and goes with any type of outfit. A Fitbit tracker fits nicely inside the cage and looks more like an onyx piece than an exercise tracker. This particular bracelet is made of Stainless Steel and leather and the indicator lamps are always visible which is a nice feature.

Most pieces of jewelry in the fitjewel line are available in gold, silver and rose gold. Two sizes are also available;  S-M (5.5-6.5) M-L (6.5-7.5) and L-XL (7.5-9) inches (circumference of your wrist).  The bracelets look extremely elegant on your wrist you can’t tell you are hiding your exercise tracker.

With my recent upgrade from a Fitbit Flex to a Fitbit Alta, I needed another bracelet to wear when I wanted wear something besides the plastic strap. This particular piece (shown above) accommodates my Fitbit Alta, fitjewels FITBIT ALTA Jewelry Bracelet Noe. The Fitbit Alta attaches to the bands by connecting the sides to the jewelry. With a simple press of a small lever, the Fitbit Alta unhinges from the band and you can replace it with any fitjewel  bracelet designed for the Fitbit Alta quite easily.

They are also available in two sizes;  S-M (5.5-6.5) M-L (6.5-7.5) and L-XL (7.5-9) inches (circumference of your wrist) This bracelet is also made from quality stainless steel. The Noe is available in Gold and Silver and it is simply beautiful. Mine fits snugly on my wrist and I don’t even know it is there. It is quite a conversational piece because most people don’t realize it’s hiding an activity tracker so they won’t see this jewelry in a jewelry store. Each piece is very unique.

 I was lucky enough to get a sample of a trio of fragrances from the Simply Modern Fragrance Collection. If I hadn’t, I would never have known it was available at The Limited (thelimited.com). I know that the big department stores have aisles and aisles of fragrances to test but if you don’t shop at The Limited, you are completely missing out on a trio of fabulous fragrances. My daughter and I love the scents. We just tried them out and she told me she loves all three.  Translated, “I’ll take whatever you don’t want Mom”.

The Simply Modern eau de parfum rollerball set is the perfect travel companion. They are perfect for your handbag because they are small and won’t leak. The fragrances included are belle, luna and fleur. We are not fragrance experts but we do know a great fragrance when we test it. The Mane Choice Haircare is my Main Choice

I love my latest find in hair care. It’s called The Mane Choice. I was intrigued by the fact that the line claims to “nourish, grow and retain hair”. Yes!!! You read correctly, Retain Hair! I really need this particular feature in a shampoo right now. Each time I wash my hair I notice more and more strands falling out…Yikes!

The Mane Choice Haircare Line  was created by a Physician and Registered Nurse duo (who are also husband and wife!)  offering solutions to common hair problems.

What makes The Mane Choice line so unique is that it is infused with vitamins and essential nutrients including Biotin, Vitamin A, B, C, D, & E. After the first use, I felt my hair soft, silky and bouncy. I have very curly hair so I am quite fussy about the haircare products I use and The Mane Choice is a keeper.

Easy On The CURLS Detangling Hydration Shampoo worked beautifully for me. My hair is very dry so I do not wash it every day.  Easy On The CURLS Detangling Hydration Shampoo kept my hair hydrated until the next washing. The shampoo also aids in eliminating knots and tangles, which for me, is a huge reason my I lose hair in the shower. Easy On The CURLS Detangling Hydration Shampoo is infused with Biotin and Vitamin E which adds to the healthiness in your hair which I noticed after the first shampoo.

Compliment your hair washing routine with Soft As Can Be Revitalize & Refresh 3-in-1 Co-Wash, Leave-In, Detangler. This is a 3 in 1 conditioner that is a conditioner, a leave-in conditioner, and detangler. I found that the shampoo and conditioner worked so well I didn’t need to “leave-in” the conditioner but it is a good feature to have.

Applying hair masks is definitely something I need to do more of.  It was when I used the Green Tea & Carrot Deep Strengthening & Restore Mask Treatment that I realized I need to use this product as recommended about every 1 to 2 weeks. After using the mask I immediately felt my hair having a softer texture. Green Tea & Carrot Deep Strengthening & Restore Mask Treatment is enriched with biotin, green tea, and carrot oil and the mask will immediately begin to repair and restore dry and damaged strands.

You only need an extra 15 minutes (with heat) or 1 hour (without heat) every week or so. This may seem like a lot of time especially if you don’t have a dryer like myself, but it is definitely worth it.  After shampooing, apply a generous amount from root to end and massage gently into  your hair. Cover your hair with a plastic cap and sit under a dryer for 15 minutes or leave on with a plastic cap (I used a shower cap) for up to 1 hour without heat. Rinse thoroughly and style as usual. The mask works great for natural, relaxed, permed, and colored treated hair. My 20-year-old daughter is using the mask too and loves it.
