I worked with an amazing and talented crew. Exquisite Fashion Designer Cynthia Rose, International High Fashion Photographer Jonathan Bookallil and the beautiful and gracious model Dominyka Gajauskaite.
From Paris flea markets to couture houses around the world, Cynthia rose continues her passionate search for the most exquisite vintage fabrics and decadent trims defining her “elegance with an edge” philosophy.
The art of collage is the true inspiration behind the Cynthia rose collection of luxurious ready-to-wear and accessories.
The inspiration for the Spring 2014 collection entitled “FOUNTAINBLEU” evokes Palm Beach with a hint of the 20’s. The hand painted “Monet” inspired watercolor rose print is evident in the streamlined dresses and blouses and the intricately beaded bodices. The colors of goldenrod, aquamarine and blushed coral highlight the tweeds, suedes, laces, silks and cashmeres. Cynthia’s “signature sweaters” are breathtaking and essential for the Spring season.

I’ll admit, I’m lucky. I’ve always gotten a lot of compliments on my skin. I’m also lucky because I come from a long line of women who also have or had great skin. Kaunis, which means “beauty” in Finnish, was a wonderful new concept in face masks for me. It surprised me as soon as I opened the package. To start off, it’s an actual mask, not a gel or cream that dries or hardens and is later removed with a wet washcloth. When you peel off the protective plastic layer, you find a soft fabric mask saturated in a lightly scented serum. It comes in two formulas that you can choose from: Soothing or Anti-Aging.
All you do is smooth the mask on and let it sit for 15-20 minutes after washing and drying your face. The look is a little Phantom of the Opera but the results are definitely worth it!
Once you peel away the mask, your skin is left feeling moist, soft and supple and has a beautiful glow. It also seems to give some extra firmness as well.
And you don’t even have to rinse your face afterwards. Just blend the remaining serum from the mask into your skin and apply any left over in the package to your hands and neck.
Another fantastic thing about Kaunis is that it’s made of natural organic ingredients and is cruelty-free (I’m a big animal lover, so this makes me especially happy!)

The 41st Annual American Music Awards aired yesterday and Christina Aguilera stole the show the moment she stepped out on the red carpet, and again shortly after she took the stage for her moving performance. From head to toe, Christina was the epitome of timeless beauty on the red carpet in a Maria Lucia Hohan crisp white satin gown with a side slit and diamond-shaped side cut-outs at the waist, Christian Louboutin shoes, a Jimmy Choo bag, Lorraine Schwartz jewels, and flawless makeup. Come her emotionally charged performance, Say Something, with A Great Big World, David styled the songstress’ hair perfectly, with an on-trend bun and braided headband. To achieve her look, David explained you need to start with damp hair and blow it out straight with a sleek center part. Then, he took a significant amount of hair at the nape of the neck and braided it tightly, bringing it up and over the head. He secured it with bobby pins and took the rest of Christina’s hair and put it in a low bun, spritzing it with a styling spray to ensure everything stayed in place during her performance.
For fans of The Voice, this style may look familiar. Well known for her platinum locks and refined style, Christina recently took to her red chair rocking a similar ‘do.
