Bring home the beauty of the Parisian runways

To create a snapshot of today’s style moment, Lancôme teamed up with three talented and breakout Parisian designers:  Yiqing Yin, Alexandre Vauthier, and Jacquemus.

Each designer was given carte blanche to create a re-imagined luxury makeup bag, with the soul of an evening clutch, to house three Lancôme essentials: L’Absolu Rouge Lipcolor, Hypnôse Star Mascara and the Hypnôse Eye Palette. The result is Nouvelle Vague, a new wave of inspiration where fashion and beauty collide. These three unique designs showcase the diversity of today’s French fashion scene and celebrate the individuality and multifaceted personality of the modern Lancôme woman.

Yiqing Yin: Creative Romance

Understanding that fashion is a mode of expression, Yin aimed to create a dreamlike dialogue between strength and fragility to complement today’s bold yet feminine woman. “I started from the premise that my evening clutch was to become my makeup bag and not the other way around,” mused Yin. The resulting sculptural bag juxtaposes rough textured fabric with a precious gold chain. Engraved on the raw, pure metalwork is the signature Lancôme Rose.

Alexandre Vauthier: Beaute Fatale

Known for his blend of rock seduction and sexy style, Vauthier infused his trademark style into a glamorous, sleekly chic clutch. “I like to create balance, the perfect proportions,” explains Vauthier. “I love cold elegance, fire under ice.” The slimly-designed, black envelope is the perfect evening clutch—a precious case to match the treasures it contains—with a golden clasp emblazoned with the elegant Lancôme Rose.

Jacquemus: Ultra-Fresh

Always an independent spirit, the precocious Jacquemus designs for girls who have grown into women yet still maintain an air of whimsy. His bag is no exception, embodying lively spontaneity and playful simplicity. Jacquemus imagined “a carry-pouch to be worn like a belt if wrapped around the wrist—a practical, ergonomic accessory.” His voluminously rounded pink wristlet opens with a Lancôme Rose embossed silver tab to reveal a splash of vibrant blue lining.

Super summer faves you’ll enjoy all year long !

This summer I was introduced to four products that were easy to use, real time savers, and provided instant gratification! What’s great about these products is that they can be used all year long !

Let’s start with Sally Hansen Insta-Dry Nail Color:
It’s a real treat to pamper yourself with manicures and pedicures, and as luck would have it, my timing couldn’t have been better! I was in awe! The broad spectrum of colors were gorgeous! When I read “Insta-Dry” on the label, I was in disbelief!

Could this really be a time saver and solution for quick & easy nail care that I had been looking for? I picked five different colors, because I couldn’t decide, from the amazing variety of shades that were in front of me, which “one”, I wanted to use!

I opened the first bottle, and noticed it had a slightly thicker applicator brush. I wiped excess polish off the brush as I usually do, and applied the polish to my toe nail. The thicker brush nicely covered the nail in one sweep as I worked it from the cuticle to the tip of the nail. I returned the brush to its bottle and opened the next color. Before I removed the brush, I decide to check the first nail, and gently touched the surface! It was DRY !!” This was too good to be true, but in a very short time I had a really “fab” pedicure with a different color on each toe! How fun!! They were dry, shiny, and “good to go”! I was “hooked”!! I can only say that using “less is best” so take-off any “excess polish” before you apply, and your nails will dry beautifully and look so rich! I received tons of compliments, and had spent very little time or effort for a lovely, unique pedicure that lasted nicely, and is removed easily!

No More Sticky Messes With The Wet Nap

We have all been to a good finger lickin’ BBQ am I right? Whether it is in your back yard or at a restaurant every BBQ is not complete without a good Wet Nap! I know we all know from experience that when it comes to a good BBQ sauce that getting our hands clean with a simple paper napkin does not seem to be the answer. One of the things I love about lauramercier website is that each product comes with a usage guide. I got a great “How-to” tips on how to use the eye pencils. The website gave me a great tip: “Use a “dot and wriggle” motion to fill up the entire lash line at the roots of lashes, in between each individual lash, creating the look of lush, thick lashes. Apply liner where your lashes naturally grow, all the way to outer corner, but leaving inner corners free. For a softer look, line only upper lid, or both upper and lower lids for maximum definition.”

For last night’s red carpet, Avon Global Celebrity Makeup Artist Lauren Andersen gave Jessica Alba a bronze goddess look inspired by her gold one shoulder dress, and gave Chrissy Teigen an edgy look to compliment her new hair color.

Here’s how to get Jessica’s look:
1.Lauren applied Koh Gen Do Foundation as a base before applying Tom Ford Beauty Shade and Illuminate.

2.Lauren then groomed Jessica’s brows with Votre Vu Brow Wax.

3.Next, Lauren used Avon Eye Dimensions Eye Shadow in Khaki Chic, using the medium shade on the lid and the darker shade on the corners of the eye.

4.To finish Jessica’s eyes, Lauren lined her eyes with Avon Kohl Eye Liner in True Black on the upper and lower lash lines and then added definition with a trace of Hourglass Calligraphy Liquid Liner. As the final dramatic touch, Lauren applied a coat of Avon Mega Effects Mascara in Black to her lashes.

5.To complete the look, Lauren applied Kevin Aucoin Beauty The Lip Gloss in Vesuvian.

Seaweed Oil Will Leave Your Skin In Satin Heaven

I have never been big on oils because of the fact my skin is already oily and tends to break out. When I first used Repechage Vita Cura Triple Action Nutri Oil, right after my Vita Cura Seaweed Bubble Bath, I just put it in a small spot to see how my skin would react. After leaving it on for a few hours my skin was still smooth, and the scent was still intact. And another bonus my skin did not break out but I aslo only used a few drops.
