For There is Always Light

The Hill We Climb was written by a 22-year-old Youth Poet Laureate, Amanda Gorman, and hand-picked to be read at the inauguration of the 46th President of the United States, Joe Biden. Gorman, a local Los Angeles resident, received the exciting news via zoom making her the youngest poet to write and recite a piece at a presidential inauguration. The sky’s the limit for Gorman as she has recently announced her intention to run for president in 2036, the first election cycle in which she’ll be old enough to do so. So pick up a piece of history with this petite but mighty book that can now be cherished in this special gift edition including an enduring foreword by Oprah Winfrey. Words That Dance on the Page

The inspiration behind When I Go Outside came from two kindred spirits, authors Teffanie Thompson and Adrea Peters, that got together and created a work of art to lift you up and help you see beyond the letters on the page.
