Mia Marcelle Swimwear return to Miami w/ WOW-Worthy Collection

Miami, FL. Napa Valley, California’s Mia Marcelle Swimwear, opened the show at SWIMMIAMI with a live electric violinist playing “When I Met You in the Summer” before golden clad models took to the runway.

The collection included sexy silhouettes, with a personal touch seen in every piece, including an original print, Cube, designed by her 8-year old son. Adding a twist on traditional one-pieces, plunging necklines and cut out sides featuring intricately braided straps complemented the barely-there bikinis.

The audience was captivated by the bold, golden beauty accents and beehive bouffants as the models walked the runway in the 2016 collection wearing gold ankle-strap stilettos and gold hoops. For the finale, model Johanna Da Ru strutted down the runway wearing a $1,500 handcrafted, custom teeny bikini covered in Swarvoski Crystals all fixed to the suit by hand.

Sexy yet functional, the many of the pieces such as the Paia Multi Way Bandeau & Nikki bikini as well as the Hot Coral Chantelle Top & Hana Bottom were expertly crafted with sustainable techno-fabric imported from Italy. This fabric, made with Econly, is 100% regenerated polyamide fibers from post-consumer materials; which when tested in real life conditions proved to be twice as resistant to elements such as chlorine, suntan creams and oils. The innovative construction and the presence of LYCRA XTRA LIFE allows for Mia Marcelle’s swimwear to successfully combine stylish and sexy with strength that will endure wear and tear.

VIP guests were gifted with incredible branded beach bags, packed with all the goodies you need for a flawless day at the beach, including a branded beach towel.

About Mia Marcelle Swimwear

Mia Marcelle designer Amber Wagner, along with her husband Joe Wagner, added some spice to their Napa Valley winery by making it the headquarters for their burgeoning swimwear line. Drawing inspiration from the beauty of confident women, the mother of six chose to chase her dream of fashion by diving head first into the swim world. Her pieces breathe femininity and sensuality, incorporating both sophistication and minimalism.

sea_salt_spray_50ml_1

Summer is finally here which means tons of people are spending time at the beach and getting the perfect beachy waves everyone desires more during the summer months. But there’s an easy way to get those beach perfect waves at home now thanks to label.m Sea Salt Spray. It has never been easier to get beautiful beachy hair without having to go through the troubles of visiting the beach. This formula has sea salt in it to make your hair more textured which allows for great volume and loose, natural waves that don’t require the help of a curling iron. Another thing I love about this product is the Enviroshield Complex which is exclusive to label.m and this helps protect hair against harmful heat from styling, and against UV rays. The smell leaves your hair smelling nice and fresh. If you are having trouble this summer achieving the perfect beach hair, you should definitely try label.m’s Sea Salt Spray.

Accentuate Those Eyes

Linder Eisner, creator of Pencil Me In Cosmetics, offers solid tips for accentuating your eyes:

unnamed

When creating exotic looks, use your contour colors (the darker colors) to create the illusion of depth and the highlight color (the light & bright colors) to bring the area forward. Darkness pushes in and lightness brings forward. The easiest way I have found to explain my meaning of highlighting and contouring is to use your cheeks as an example. Apply a dark matte color under your cheek bone in a straight line going towards your ear. Move your brush back and forth several times to blend the color well. The darkness is pushing-in the skin & creating an illusion of high cheek bones. Next apply the cheek color (blush) onto the cheek area in a soft circular motion also blending well. Then on the area above the cheek bone, apply a light or even frosted color. Apply this at the same angel as the contour color and blend. The darkness pushes the cheek in whereas the light color pulls the cheek out. This technique gives the illusion that you have high, well-defined cheek bones. The same basic concept applies when creating fabulous eyes. A darker color pencil is applied into the crease of the eye and blended well. Then a medium color pencil is blended onto the eye lid. The lightest or frosted color is then applied directly under the eyebrow. Apply many colors to increase the glamour. To maximize the intensity & be even more creative, dab a brush with any eye shadow color you like. Gently pat it over the blended pencil color. The powder will adhere to the pencil creme. When eye shadow is blended with pencil in this way, you can create truly exotic eyes. Experiment with the concept and have fun with it. I’d love to see your one of a kind creations!!! Be sure to share your looks with me @healthyeyeliner. If you create a fabulous application technique video, I would be honored to share it.

Summer Skincare Tips from Jan Marini

unnamed

Jan Marini, CEO of Jan Marini Skin Research, is a pioneer in the professional skincare arena. She has more than three decades of experience researching and developing new and innovative skincare technologies. Below are three of her top beauty tips to help keep skin protected and youthful during the summer months.

Protect Your Hair
Sun exposure breaks down the Disulfide bonds in hair, causing color fading (think of that $200 color service), brittleness and breakage. Remember, your scalp is an extension of the same skin that is on your face and it requires the same attention! Cumulative sun exposure, throughout the year, damages and ages the scalp and, as a result, compromises and decreases the factors that promote luxurious, full, healthy hair. Be sure to use a conditioner or leave-on spray that contains a sun protectant…and, wear a hat!
Protect Your Lips
Your lips are one of the most vulnerable and most exposed areas and, often, the most forgotten. To prevent skin cancer while keeping your lips soft, hydrated and supple, generously massage sun protectant into the lip area.
Your Skin Continues to Age in the Summer Months
There is a widely spread misconception that it is wise to stop using glycolics, retinols, etc., during the summer months. Not the case! These powerful, gold standard tools can prevent a significant amount of damage, and repair damage that hasn’t yet surfaced while reversing superficial signs of aging and enabling skin to more effectively respond to UV radiation.

Remember, your skin ages every day and you need to consistently apply medically and clinically validated topicals that can truly assist in keeping your skin looking healthy, vibrant, refined, hydrated and luminous. Taking a break, especially during a period of more intense sun exposure, only compounds the aging process and further compromises your skin’s ability to repair and rejuvenate.

From the PROS: The Beyonce Diet: Pros and Cons

Summer is here and that means time to get fit! With all these diets going around, do you know which one is best for you? The newest is Beyoncé’s standby 22 Day Vegan Diet, which promises quick and permanent results including a meal delivery service. Not sure if it’s for you? Let’s look at the Pros and Cons from Amanda Foti, Registered Dietitian for https://www.selvera.com
unnamed-3

PROS:

1.       Eating Targeted Food Groups. As a rule of thumb, avoiding processed foods and increasing plant-based foods in your diet has been shown to improve a variety of health issues such as cholesterol levels and reduce risk of developing chronic diseases.

2.       Easily Available. The meal delivery option takes all the work out of it for the client. This makes it easy if you don’t have the time or knowledge to figure out exactly what you should be eating every day.

3.       Healthy Balance of Foods. Includes a healthy balance of unrefined carbs, plant based protein and heart healthy fats.

4.       Motivational. Following a very structured diet for 22 days could serve as a great kick starter to motivate those who want to change their eating habits.

CONS:

1.       Expensive! To stick with their meals and products exclusively is going to require some cash, as it is quite expensive!

2.       Long Term Commitment. In terms of kick starting healthy eating habits, this takes several months of commitment and sometimes the additional support of an expert.

3.       Restrictive. To be successful in keeping the weight off, be prepared to adopt these restrictions long term. Once the diet is over and you go back to old eating habits, the weight will likely creep in once more!

4.       Lack of Personalized Treatment. Meeting nutrition needs on a vegan diet is possible, but takes work. As a dietitian, when a client informs me they are vegan I immediately inquire about certain essential nutrients that plants may not be adequate in providing, like B12 and iron. This often times warrants a supplement. Unless you are working 1-on-1 with an expert or have the time and resources to research on your own, how do you know
