Be precise

Remember that the people you want to pass the message to are in a hurry. Therefore, you need to keep your message short and to the point. If you are using a video, it should be no more than two minutes long. The short and the more precise the video is the better. The idea is not to lose the attention of your audience before you communicate your point.

Display your products

You do not have to spend a lot of time and money hiring professional models. Although using a model would be much better, you can simply use ‘money queens’. Make sure you take photos of your best pieces then present them along with your digital signage content. Images are more impactful than text. Make use of them but ensure you hire a professional photographer to take the best photos of your pieces. You should also use the best digital signage software that displays your content perfectly.

Make the content legible

Your audience should be able to read your content without straining. Make sure that you use the right fonts and colors that make it easy for people to read your content. Avoid the curly-cues and multiple colors. If people are not able to read the content, they will move on without paying much attention to your products. Smaller signs are harder to read too so avoid them as much as you can.

Test before you post

It is common for people to create their digital signage and display them without ever testing their impact. This is one of the major reasons for failure for most marketers. To start with, you need to make sure that the content makes sense and that it is easy to read. You also need to test where you will be placing your content. Will the sign work best on a window display or inside your store? Get the opinion of friends.

Make it interesting

Boring signs will not benefit you. The goal is to command the attention of your customers. Make use of interesting slogans, great images and offer discounts.

So long as you understand your target audience, when it comes to digital signage, you are only limited by your imagination. Create signs that command attention and not ones that just display your content in a boring way.
