MAKE Solstice Bronzer: Keep the Summer Glow All Year

Even though summer has already come and gone, you don’t have to lose your summer glow this fall. With MAKE Solstice Bronzer you can achieve a healthy summer glow for any skin tone. MAKE Solstice bronzer combines four shades that when mixed together will add a soft, subtle glow and comes in three shades that will compliment all skin tones. When I use bronzer I always fear the thought of “looking orange”. You know what I mean. As a makeup artist, I always strive for the natural look and makeup should accentuate your natural beauty. When using the MAKE Solstice Bronzer you never have to worry about “is it too much”? It adds just the right amount of “glow”.

To apply, use an angled brush and apply to areas of the face that are naturally hit by the sun. MAKE Solstice Bronzer is mineral oil free so you don’t have to worry about it clogging your pores. Be sure to check out www.weseebeauty.com to check out which MAKE Solstice Bronzer is right for you.

As always, 33% of all MAKE Cosmetics sales go directly to the We See Beauty Foundation, a non-profit that is working to help establish and support women-led cooperative businesses in the U.S.

Me, tomorrow on Studio 10

Tomorrow on Studio 10 Tampa, St. Pete I explain why these Fall power fruits work so well in skin care formulations: Pumpkin, Grapefruit, Green Apple, Pomegranate, Fig and Pear. Check my segment out!

Pumpkin- The enzymes (a group of complex proteins) in pumpkin make it a safe and natural exfoliator which is alternative to chemical peels. Also, loaded with antioxidants pumpkin protects skin cells from free radicals such as pollution, poor diet etc. The oil from the pumpkin seeds is uniquely beneficial for skin as well. It is rich in essential fatty acids that regulate proper skin sebum (oil) production, which makes it useful for both oily/acne-prone skin and dry skin.

Grapefruit- Grapefruit is rich in antioxidants and vitamins, when applied topically, the grapefruit extract can provide an array of anti-aging benefits like evening skin tone and fighting off free radicals and it promotes the production of collagen. It is also great for oily and acne prone skin, grapefruit increases the pH in the skin which will reduce acne. If suffering from rosacea do not use citrus. If taking prescription meds consult a physician.

Green Apple- Green apples are another great anti-aging ingredient that keeps the elasticity in your skin and youthful looking by preventing wrinkles and texture in the skin.Green apple is great for the hair by working wonders to fix dandruff. It is also a recognized remedy for strengthening the locks, enhancing hair growth and preventing hair loss.

Pomegranate- Pomegranate makes for a great moisturizer. Pomegranate promotes the production of collagen and elastinto give strength and support to the skin. It will slow down the formation of wrinkles and any age related “markings”. Pomegranate can also minimize the risk of developing skin cancer.

Figs- Figs are fully loaded with skin protecting and nourishing antioxidants to help soften the skin. It contains enzymes that help break down dead, flaky cells on the skin’s surface. Figs also have moisturizing properties similar to the skin’s own natural moisture, making it an excellent conditioning agent as well.

Pears- Pears are a natural treatment for blemishes and redness, and can help to reduce irritation and discomfort from sun or wind burns. Pears also aid in reducing excess oil in oily skin. Pear helps protect skin from the Earth’s daily assaults.

Jenny Balding, your go-to for everything hair care & styling!

With a 20+ year career in both the UK and NYC, Jenny’s salon and Fashion Week experience have shaped her into the expert stylist she is today – and she will be a great resource for all hair care & styling questions – both women & men!  Please let me know if you’re working on any upcoming articles that you would like to speak with Jenny about!
A tip from Jenny: The most common issue consumers have is styling their own hair.  It starts with making sure they are using the appropriate shampoo and conditioner because that will make a big difference straight away.  Then they will want to find a stylist that truly understands their hair and lifestyle to achieve the best result.  If a consumer doesn’t have the right haircut for their face shape and hair texture, this will make it very challenging to look after and style on their own.  If a consumer has the best haircut suited for their hair texture, it should be low or even no maintenance depending on how they like to wear they hair.
The solution?  The right stylist!  Their

stylist should listen to what they like and dislike about their hair first,  find out what their daily routine is, and what they do for a living so all these can be factored in (i.e. how much time they have to spend on their hair).  Then have discussion together about what would be best for them so they can have their hair tailored to who they are and not just a celebrity haircut.  Absolutely the consumer should bring inspiration pictures but these should be inspirational so they can really have a hairstyle customized for them.
