NOXEMA is 100 Years Old and Still Amazing

I often us Noxzema Deep Cleansing Cream. I like how my skin feels after I wash with it and it definitely has helped minimize blemishes. My mother recently told me she used Noxzema in the 70’s and loved the brand. I didn’t realize how old Noxzema was until I did a little research. Noxzema was invented by Francis J. Townsend, a doctor and was originally formulated to treat sunburns. Many people were amazed at how well this cream worked with exema suffers and the name “NOEXEMA” (No-Exema) was born.

Big Buns are perfect for Prom Season

March, 2013 (New York, NY) – Big buns are everywhere and are the perfect go-to look for the upcoming wedding/prom season, because it’s a sleek polished style that can literally be created in minutes on very long hair.  Geneva Cowen for Sam Villaâ makes it a cinch.

·       Start a ponytail by gathering hair into a center section at the top of the head.  The Sam Villa Styling Brush (https://www.samvilla.com/products/hair-brushes/styling-detangling-brush/) is one of the best tools for creating a beautiful clean ponytail.  Begin at the back, brush section by section into hands to smooth and secure with a bungee.

·       Brush hair in the ponytail thoroughly from the back towards the front of the fringe area.

·       Wrap the length of the ponytail around the bungee with the ends facing towards the back and tuck them into the bun.  Use large hairpins to secure the shape by pinning directly into the bungee close to the scalp.

GET THE LOOK: Celebrity makeup artist Toby Fleischman was feeling spring fever, so for the premiere of Mr. Peabody & Sherman, Ariel Winter’s look was all about glowing skin and a fresh, soft palette. “This is one busy 16 year old! With her crazy schedule, we don’t always have a lot of time for frills when it comes to glam time.   • ·         pastel light mint color that just shines like a shimmering ocean.
  • ·         I love using a matte black eyeshadow smudged in between the lashes on the lash line to create definition. I used Clinique Colour Surge Eye Shadow Stay Matte in Midnight Chanel’s Creme blushes are amazing.
  • ·         The perfect pop of pink on Ariel’s cheeks is called Afinité and it is gorgeous.
  • ·         Finishing of the look is Tarte Lipsurgence in Charmed.

Is it a coat or a dress?

As I was cleaning out my coat closet, I came across a gorgeous, floral print, WD* NY coat that I actually forgot I owned.  I remember wearing it once or twice and loving it!  Throughout the years, as I purchased more outerwear, this coat simply ended up in the back of my closet and “out of sight – out of mind”.  The functionality of this coat is pretty much a statement whether wearing it as a dress, belting it or wearing it as a coat for warmth.  You tend to get more mileage out of your outerwear when you have more than one option of wearing it.  Of course, as we all know, outerwear in New England really needs to make a fashion statement in style and in spirit. The practicality of wearing it as a coat or wearing it as a dress can be classic, season after season, year after year.
