Being with people who are positive and confident, will ooze onto you helping you be a more confident person. The knock-on effect will be that you feel happier about yourself as well as more positive. Just think, when you are being negative, if the person responding is being positive, it’s very hard to keep being negative.

Be kind to yourself

Part of being more confident involves you being kind to yourself. Don’t be strict as often most people’s biggest critic is themselves. Try to be positive about yourself, encourage yourself to be kind to yourself and don’t put yourself down. If you are feeling down and not very confident, the easiest way to turn things around is to just smile. Smiling is very infectious and by smiling, it can be hard to feel negative as it’s such a positive action.

Dress to impress

Start the day by dressing to impress. What you wear can have a big impact on your overall mood. Wear your best outfit and go to work knowing you look your best. You’ll be surprised at how many compliments you get when you wear your best outfit and how an outfit can give you that boost you sometimes need. Whilst dressing your best, wear your best perfume and your best accessories with it. If you have a certain hairstyle that you like, spend some extra time getting ready so that you can do it.
