Boom Boom, owner of Boom Boom Brow Bar, the first vegan and cruelty- free brow bar in NYC, has a personal reason for promoting clean beauty. “In 2006 I was diagnosed with Graves’ Disease, and because of that I developed Thyroid Eye Disease, a rare disease where your eyeballs pop out of your head. After 5 corrective surgeries and a supportive team of doctors and nurses, my eyes are now a custom set, and after all is said and done, I can see clearly. So, the question I have, and everyone else should have too, is: “What are we putting on and around our eyes?!” asks Boom Boom.
When putting eye products on or near the eye orbital they absorb into the skin (largest organ in the body), so there must be more awareness about eye health and ingredients in beauty products. Women are looking for clean cosmetics, brow products are no exception. Boom Boom products are formulated without PARABENS, GLUTEN, PHTHALATES, HORMONES, PROSTAGLANDINS, OIL, FRAGRANCE, SULFATES, GMO, SILICONE, CORN, ALCOHOL, BARLEY, WHEAT, OAT, SPELT and RYE. VEGAN – PROUDLY MADE IN THE USA. PROP 65 COMPLIANT and E.U. REGISTERED.
“We’ve got pencils, gels, balm…you name it, it’s clean and available in 2 universally flattering color palettes to match the cool or warm undertones of your hair,” says Boom Boom.
Healthy eyes are beautiful eyes! After all, they are the most important feature on the face. “We’re wearing masks indefinitely, so the eyes are all we see. Without being able to register a smile, brows are the only other feature on our face to convey an expression. Being able to create beautiful brows with clean products is just better for everyone and the right thing to do!” adds Boom Boom.
Malynda Vigliotti (aka Boom Boom) opened the first walk-in brow bar in NYC in 2008. Boom Boom Brow Bar survived the pandemic and celebrated 13 years strong by becoming the first VEGAN and CRUELTY FREE brow bar in the city.
As a female small business owner diagnosed with Graves’ and Thyroid Eye Disease, she developed a line of CLEAN brow products formulated without all the bad stuff, because our eyes are so important and clean beauty is the future. With close to half a million people served, she’s changing the world one brow at a time with walk-in services, practical prices, clean products, an inclusive engaged COMMUNITY and a whole lot of FUN!
