Audrey Hepburn, her name is synonymous with the elegance of Hollywood’s Golden Age and, in her later years, human rights. Audrey Hepburn was born May 4, 1929 in Ixelles, Brussels, Belgium and passed away on January 20, 1993 in Tolochenaz, Vaud, Switzerland.
Audrey – A Cherished Memory shares the personal account of a young boy who met, and became forever fascinated by, a young Audrey Hepburn in German-occupied Holland during World War II. The book also includes rare and beautiful photographs of pre-fame Audrey.
Author John Schwartz was only 7 years old at the time, but the chance encounter with the future movie star was a day that Schwartz never forgot. He longed to meet her again, and miraculously, his dream came true much later in life.
