Trunk Club has analyzed the biggest fashion trends and the most popular style questions in each state over the past 12 months.

As it turns out, Americans have some pretty basic questions about style. The study examined more than 400 different search engine queries and over 200 general style questions.
Top findings include:
- The most Googled fashion question of 2018 is overwhelmingly “How to tie a tie?”
- The top fashion trend is smart casual which was most popular in 21 states, followed by both professional and trendy which were both most popular in 7 states each.
