WineBlock – Apply. Drink. Smile.
A few quick fixes (and proper prep) means you can have your wine and drink it too.
According to the experts at Colgate, “The pigments in wine cling to surface plaque.” So it’s a good idea to brush before you indulge. The American Dental Association makes us aware that wine is highly acidic and that “exposure to acid can wear down enamel, thus making your teeth vulnerable to decay or tooth sensitivity. Vigorous brushing to get rid of stains can cause even more damage, so be sure to use a softer touch after your wine drinking.”
Dry lip skin makes wine stains more likely to stick around. If your lips lack moisture and are dry, exfoliate before you drink. You can use a dry clean toothbrush, a soft face towel, or a DIY lip exfoliate. Our friends at Nivea say that when exfoliating lips, “Be gentle. Don’t exfoliate lips too hard. Don’t over exfoliate. Limit your lip exfoliation. Always moisturize after exfoliating.”
Wine Spectator magazine gives us this tip from Dr. Sivan Finkel, a Manhattan-based esthetic dentist and clinical instructor at New York University’s College of Dentistry. “Immediately after drinking wine, or in between glasses, if you swish water around in your mouth, you’ll get some of those stains off,” he said.
Our friends at WineBlock offer a certain solution for wine stained teeth and lips. They offer Wine Block Anti-Stain Treatment for your lips and teeth. The notes on the Wine Block website state, “As you would apply sunblock to protect your skin before you head out in the sun; Apply WineBlock before you drink (wine) to protect your lips and teeth from that dreaded purple hue or yellow smile.”
WineBlock is natural, non-toxic and free of chemicals like petrochemical, parabens, and dyes, gluten, and is is never tested on animals. A flavor chemist designed its subtle Orange Blossom flavor to be subtle and dissipate quickly. WineBlock will never interfere with the taste of your wine.
A simple dime sized application of WineBlock to teeth and lips before enjoying your wine puts a stop to “wine mouth” immediately for a beautiful smile. And, you don’t have to remember to take along a toothbrush, exfoliate before you drink or swish!
