• You Don’t Have to Go Expensive

You will easily and affordably get remedies from most skin products from your local drugstore. Don’t be deceived by brand names, search your products based on their effectiveness in soothing your skin, making it smooth and getting rid of the spots and other growths that are bothering you.

• Cleanliness Is Very Important

To keep your face smooth and attractive, you at times only need to clean in properly at least for twice a day. You can do it more if you usually sweat a lot. You obviously will clean it when bathing in the morning and you should do it in the evening too.

We all agree that exfoliation is important, but there are better ways to do it than using the tough scrubs. Hydroxy acid or glycolic acid that you can purchase over the counter are great peels that will help in removing dead skin.

• For Super-Oily Skin, You Need an Astringent

There are skins that produce too much oil, and for that you will need to use a skin toner or astringent. They remove the oil hence leaving you feeling fresh and clean. There are many more other skin toning products, but when you are out there shopping for them you should always go for the alcohol-free ones, they are good for sensitive skin.

• A Tight, Flaky and Dry Skin Needs a Moisturizer

As you carry on treating your skin, and more so when you are dealing with acne, your skin will become super dry. In that case, you should use a good moisturizer to sooth your skin every day. The shopping for the moisturizer should also be done with care. Go for a product that has an ‘oil-free’ label on it.

The product should also be non-comedogenic. Such a product is great because it will not leave you with a greasy feeling all day, and won’t also clog the pores of your skin.

A moisturizer with SPF will also be an added bonus. You end up with a soothed skin that will also be protected from the sun.

• Popping Pimples Is Wrong

Tell someone not to pop a pimple and you will have given them one of the toughest tests in a person’s behavior. Just think of the many times that you have run your hand over your skin and felt a pimple, and immediately went on to pop it!

When you are after ridding your skin of these pimples, you will need to gather enough courage to fight the urge and leave the pimples to dry. Popping them when they are soft and wet will only leave the skin with dark spots and hence damage it.

The best solution to dealing with such pimples will be to shrink them through spot treatment.
