As Beauty Editor for It’s A Glam Thing, I’m thrilled to present an article that will focus on some excellent anti-aging skin care and glamor products for those who are 50+.  It will feature treatment and makeup from SKINN, an internationally recognized line of products developed by celebrity makeup artist, television personality, and author, Dimitri James.

Being 50+ myself, I decided to try some of Dimitri’s Anti-Aging products and share my experience with you. My goal was to achieve a firmer, hydrated, healthy-looking skin, and address the appearance of some fine lines and wrinkles.

Before we begin, keep in mind that caring for your skin is essential at any age, and each person needs to address their individual needs.  Your skin will change over the years, and it’s important to keep up with any of those changes.  Make your skin a priority, as much as, if more than the cosmetic products you wear.  By doing so, you’ll always look your best and maintain a healthy skin with a more youthful appearance.

So let’s begin!  Here, I am, sans makeup six weeks ago,  just before I started a very easy regimen of products from SKINN to help rejuvenate my 50+ skin.

My skin had always been very translucent. I called it my “see-through” skin.  As a result, I was always attracted to makeup that had more coverage and had always felt more confident after my makeup was applied.

As I turned 50, I was once again challenged by my fair, translucent skin. My first sign of aging became evident when my full coverage makeup products started to look cakey and powdery. I realized that my combination skin had now appeared to be top surface dehydrated. That was my clue to begin looking for treatment products and cosmetics that were more age appropriate, and would help me with my new skin challenge. SKINN came to the rescue!

Here are the SKINN products that I used, in the order that I used them. I did the same regimen in the morning and evening. Caring for your skin does not have to be time-consuming or difficult. You’ll certainly have an excellent variety of products with SKINN that you’ll be able to choose from to achieve the results that you desire.

With my quest to help me revive a more youthful firmer looking more radiant skin and soften some minimal wrinkling, I really appreciated SKINN’s up-to -the minute ingredients that were capable of deeper penetration into the skin.

             MY DAILY REGIMEN USING SKINN TREATMENT PRODUCTS AND COSMETICS

#1  Cleanse: Pure Cleanse  No-Rinse Cleansing Water is  a very refreshing product.  I had never used anything like it before. It will actually break down your makeup, remove your eye makeup, and give a clean finish to your skin with no need to rinse. It’s a perfect choice when you’re tired in the evening, hurrying in the morning, or need a great “pick up” at the gym. Instructions say, “You may use it on its own, or follow with one of  your favorite SKINN cleansers  for a more professional deep cleanse.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

#2. Collagenesis Line Peel Solution is an easy to use and very effective product for deeper lines and wrinkles. I used Line Peel on my laugh lines, and  the outer corner of my eye area. You may use it up to twice a day. (Morning and Evening) On a clean face take a Q-tip and dip into the container and apply in a “back and forth” motion into the wrinkle area.  Make sure you use a clean Q-tip each time you dip into the container! You do not have to rinse after applying.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Collagenesis Age Reset Serum When I received and read about Age Reset Serum, I  was in awe of all the benefits that it provided. From softening wrinkles, improving the elasticity of your skin, along with brightening and hydrating,  Age Reset Serum targeted all of my areas of concern.  I was quite impressed with SKINN’s Age Reset Serum!  You’ll want to use it twice a day, in the morning and evening on your clean face and neck area after using the Line Peel Solution from Step #2.   Age Reset Serum has a lightweight feel with a subtle, very appealing botanical aroma.  (At this point you may apply your facial moisturizer and eye cream.)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

#4. Collagenesis Deep Line Erasing Serum  the final treatment product I used in my six-week regimen is applied before your makeup.  The small pointed application tip makes this a very easy product to directly target your deeper lines.  I was able to address my “laugh lines”, and an annoying line across my forehead directly and with ease. Deep Line Erasing Serum is an extremely efficient product.

Here are a couple interesting quotes from SKINN that caught my eye about two of  the ingredients in their Line Erasing Serum. “Collagenesis Deep Line Erasing Serum’s unique amino acid encapsulation technology  provides a lipo-filling effect.”  and  “Syn-ake peptide which is a synthetic tri-peptide that mimics the effects of reduced muscle contractions resulting in a Botox-like effect”, leading to a reduction in wrinkles and smoother skin.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

#5. SKINN Deep Resonating Sonic Infuser is a small device that helps penetrate the Deep Line Erasing Serum deeper into your skin. You’ll use the innovative Sonic Infuser twice a day, every day! This little infuser is so easy to use and takes very little of your time!  After applying your Colagenesis Deep Line Erasing Serum (or a serum of your choice ) on your target areas, you’re ready to use your Sonic Infuser. The Infuser has a pulsating setting to use on the delicate outer area of your eyes where “Crows feet” appear.  That is where I used the infuser! Do not use on the eyelid or underneath the eye! The Sonic Infuser also has a second setting that you may use on the other wrinkle-prone areas on your face. For me, I used it on my laugh lines, and that bothersome line across the middle of my forehead.

We’re all busy, and I appreciate the fact that the Sonic Infuser takes very little time to use. You just need to go to the areas where you applied your Deep Line Erasing Serum.  Place your infuser in the appropriate setting for either your outer eye area (crows feet) at setting #1, or setting #2 for  laugh lines , forehead lines, or other deeper wrinkles on your face.

Activate the Infuser and slide its silicone tip  in circular motions on each wrinkle for only 20-30 seconds for each area you’ll be treating. I achieved all of my goals, and even without makeup my skin looked hydrated, once again, with a little more color, and less translucent as it was in the past. Most of all  I was  pleased with the smooth appearance of my skin especially around my outer eye area and laugh line area where I used the Sonic Infuser.

Caring for your skin is a daily habit you must commit to if you haven’t already.  We are fortunate to be in an age when the delivery system of  anti-aging skin care is really top notch. Plasma Fusion Full Coverage Makeup  provides an easy to apply full-coverage  foundation in a convenient stick form. The foundation feels light as air but imparts a super coverage that’s flawless.  I applied mine directly from the stick and blended it with my fingers.  It’s one of those instant gratification products that evens your skin immediately.  You need very little to get a finished look, and you ‘ll find some great anti-ageing properties in its core including Vitamin C to brighten your skin and other nutrients that keep your face looking hydrated and healthy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Plasma Fusion Nourishing Serum Foundation This is the foundation I used in the final picture of my finished look after treatment products and cosmetics.  The Plasma Fusion Serum Foundation is  actually SKINN’s first serum-strength foundation.  This one was “love” at first feel, and sight! It has a serum like texture, but when I applied it my face looked finished and felt like I was wearing no foundation at all. We had a family event  that day and my face stayed fresh and hydrated looking all day long. The coverage is great, and you can build and layer this serum foundation to your needs.  When  I did my outdoor mirror check to see how it looked in the daytime,  I smiled when I saw there were no little creases that sometimes occur when a base looks good but it’s just sitting on top of your skin.  This is like a second skin and with the “fusion of light-refracting and line diminishing Plasma  pigments with anti-aging peptides.” (Quote from SKINN)  No excuses now….. Experience some of this wonderful technology , and remember!!  When you look your best…. You’ll feel your best!

I couldn’t be more pleased with all of  the SKINN product.  My picture above has not been retouched. I have no powder on my face, and  the finish is flawless.  My skin feels firm and has the hydrated look that I thought I had lost.
