At last week’s Golden Globe Awards old favorites and exciting new comers collected awards and accolades at the legendary Beverly Hilton. For many, the Red Carpet fashion still held center stage with looks as varied as the celebrities that wore them. However throughout it all one key beauty look reined supreme, the flawless face, chiseled cheekbones and dewy youthful quality sported by everyone from Emma Stone and Jennifer Aniston to Kate Hudson and Joanne Froggatt. “If your foundation isn’t perfect,” says Global Makeup Artist and founder of Color Me, Eric Jimenez, “your whole look is off. The good news is that getting that perfect skin is easier than you think.”
Here, Eric shares his tips:
• Start by using your sonic makeup applicator, Color Me, to apply your favorite (color matched) liquid foundation or BB cream. The device, which pulsates at a rate of 15,000 pulses per minute, helps to smoothly and evenly apply your foundations and creams ensuring you have an airbrushed and flawless look. Remember to season your sponge if it is brand new, before applying the foundation to your skin.
• Next set the look with a pressed or loose powder. Turn on the device and swirl over the powder to pick up the pigment all while shaking loose any excess. Apply over your face for an even and velvety finish.
• Now for the contouring! Suck in your cheekbones to find the natural hollow in your face. Using a bronzer or a powder one – two shades darker than your natural skintone blend the color in the hollow towards the hairline using your Color Me.
• Add another dot at the hollow of each temple and blend. You can also blend down your jawline to give the impression of a more defined jaw and neckline. Your color me will soften the edges and make the contoured hollows more natural.
• Highlight the cheekbones to make them stand out even more with a cream highlighter or luminizer dotted just along the cheek bone, under the brow bone, at the cupid’s bow, and along the bridge of your nose to catch the light and make your features look even more defined.
• Finish the look with ultra-curled and long lashes and a natural or bold red lip for a glamorous show-stopping style.
Red carpet to reality in no time.
