Every Women has there “Must Haves” and I just added to Mine

JR Lip Gloss

As women, we all have our “Must Haves”. You know, I must have those shoes, I must have that purse and oh yeah, I must have those jeans. Well some women have more “Must Haves” than others. One of my favorite “Must Haves” is Lip Gloss. Purses too, but today I’m talking about lip glosses. I “Must Have” my lip gloss, I can’t leave home without it. As a matter of fact, my makeup bag is overflowing with lip gloss. Recently, I was sent two beautiful beveled glass containers with rich vivid colors, Berry and Cherry Red.

Just holding them made me smile as I twirled the glass in my hand. I just discovered Jessica Robertson Lip Gloss and they are AMAZING!

Once I opened the container and pulled out the wand the fragrance made my lips curl into a smile, you know; the smile you have when you receive a pleasant surprise. The Lip Gloss is so shiny and moist it really takes my lips to paradise. I really like both colors and with a couple of swipes across my lips and the color/shine ratio is just right on my lips. They have several different colors to choose from, so click on the link http://www.drsunrx.com/products/lip-gloss-jessica-robertson-collection/ and order your favorite colors today.

I have a few new additions to my already overstuffed makeup bag. I can’t leave home without them, JR Lip Glosses are definitely my new “Must Haves”!

Top 5 Rules to Wearing a Fragrance from Carlos Huber

unnamed-2

According to Carlos Huber, fragrance developer and creator of Arquiste, you may possibly be wearing your fragrance wrong. Depending on your mood or the occasion, whether it’s a special event or just a normal day, you must choose the right fragrance for you. Carlos has 5 helpful rules to wearing a fragrance.

Top 5 Rules of Wearing a Fragrance

1. Don’t rub your wrists together. Rubbing your wrists together may bruise the scent molecules, smashing them all down instead of letting them lift off your skin naturally.

2. Splurge on scents that you can wear daily– and on the ones that are special occasions. Quality is quality always!

3. Less is more…and more is more. Depending on what you prefer! There are no written rules.

4. Throw out fragrances when they are more than 3 years old, as their scent can turn and change. Normally a scent kept in stable temperatures and away from light will keep nicely between 2 -3 years.

5. Wear what defines YOU! Don’t let the occasion be the only thing dictating what you may or may not wear.

Carlos likes to wear his new Nanban Fragrance on a day-to-day basis as it makes him feel confident and remembered. Containing ingredients such as black pepper, Persian Saffron, coffee absolute, and Spanish leather, Nanban makes you stand out in a very unique way.

You will find this fabulous fragrance at arquiste.com

See the step-by-step hair “how to”  below:

  1. Prep hair with Smooth ‘N Shine Argan Power 10 Treatment Oil ($4.36; Wal-Mart) for thermal protection and sheen and then blow dry until hair is smoothed out.
  2. Apply Smooth ‘N Shine Olive & Tea Tree RevivOil Edge Smoothing Pomade ($2.59; Target) throughout the hairline and crown of the head to define edges, smooth down flyways and create a sleek look.
  3. Gather all hair at the nape of the neck using a paddle brush and create a tight, low ponytail and lock in place with a hook elastic.
  4. Then, wrap 26-inch long human hair extensions across the base of the ponytail in a clockwise direction, securing the weft with pins.
  5. Take a small section of the extensions and wrap around the elastic, to hide the elastic. Secure with a pin.
  6. Midway down the back, take another small section of the extensions and wrap it tightly in a downward motion to create a roping effect, stopping about a foot from the end.
  7. Finish the look off with a spritz of Smooth ‘N Shine Instant Repair Spray-On Polisher ($4.36; Wal-Mart) for extra shine and luster.

Treat your hair to the very best with Conair Brushes

When your hair looks like this

You really need this: a Conair Detangle Brush for wet or dry hair

Unknown

I can’t live without my  Conair Detangle Hair brush. As you can see, I have very curly hair. Att night, when I brush my hair out, I no longer have the feeling of my hair being ripped out of my head. The bristles on the Conair Detangler are so soft that it makes brushing my hair out easy and pain free. The bristles smooth over the tangles and curls and after a few strokes, the bristles brush right through my hair.

The Conair Detangle Hair brush is designed for use with wet or dry hair and it detangles wet hair so easily which is why I love this brush so much. I once read that it is not a good idea to comb or brush you hair out when wet because of breakage. I find that with my hair texture, I have to brush out when wet. I find that this brush has been nothing but gentle on my hair and there are no signs ogf breakage or split ends. As soon as I notice, I will let you know.

You can find this fabulous brush at drugstores and retailers nationwide or at conair.com

Memorable Moments of the 67th Primetime Emmy Awards

Unknown

September is one of the most exciting months for television. Every year the Emmy awards are given to the best actors, writers, and directors. Unlike other award shows, the Emmys are organized by the Television Academy. It’s the best in the biz giving award’s to who they believe did the best throughout the year. Although surprisingly, this year changes were made in the voting process. The Television Academy usually uses a small committee to determine final votes, but this year they opened up the final vote for certain categories to the entire pool of academy members. This allowed the show to feel less predictable, more diverse and over all more exciting. This years Emmys were full of firsts and hopefully not lasts.

Viola Davis of “How to Get Away With Murder” became the first African-American to win an Emmy for best lead actress in a drama series. In her acceptance speech, she quoted Harriet Tubman and acknowledge other African-American female actors that helped pave the way. She also left the audience and viewers with this:

Let me tell you something, the only thing that separates women of color from anyone else is opportunity. You cannot win an Emmy for roles that are simply not there.”

images

After seven previous nominations and his last chance to win for his role as Don Draper on “Mad Men”, Jon Hamm finally won his first Emmy. As luck would have it, he was sitting in the front row. Jon decided instead of using the stairs to the stage like everyone else, he would climb onto it. He literally lifted one leg up and sort of rolled onto stage. You could tell it was a moment Jon had waited a long time for.

HBO dominated the 67th Emmys and walked away with a total of 43 wins over all, including 29 creative Emmys last week. It was the first time HBO has ever won in the best drama category. They took home Emmys for “Mad Men”, “Game of Thrones” (the most-watched show in network history), “Veep” and “ Olive Kitteridge”. Its safe to say someone at HBO is getting a raise.

There were so many other memorable moments from the show, too many to list really. The good news is you will forever know who Emmy winners are. After an individual wins, they are forever referred to as “Emmy Award Winning” which technically means “now you have to pay me more”. My congratulations go out to all the winners of the evening, as well as the losers who held it together long enough for the cameras to leave.
