“On fleek” with Final Touch Brows

When I colored my hair darker I was excited to change up my whole makeup look, The only problem I had was finding the perfect color for, not only my red hair, but my skin tone as well. I also had just one other problem, sensitive skin! I mean the search was endless. That is until I found Final Touch Brows. A product that finds that perfect shade just for you and is made out of minerals so no more breakouts or itchiness. Final Touch, created in Australia, has grown to become the world’s largest range of products and have over 120 stores in Australia & New Zealand offering their signature brow services. But don’t fear if you are not in Australia because Final Touch distributes to the US, UK and the Middle East.

Created by Danielle Renee who with 15 years beauty industry experience knew something was missing. That “Final Touch”. You have the entire A-Z steps with the brow gel, cream illuminator & mineral powders or pencils. Having fair skin but red hair I found that the medium mixed with a little bit of the blonde is just right. Just like any other colors they can be mixed together to create your “just right” color. The mineral powders can be applied either dry or wet, is easy to apply and you can do it right in the comfort of your own home. As a professional stylist, I have heard from guests that they get a little scared to apply brows to themselves. With Final Touch, it makes brows easy & fun, and has awesome building coverage. If you need to this is a great product to use along with an eyebrow stencil.

So no more scary, or “What just happened” brows. Get Final Touch Brows now at www.finaltouchbrows.com for more products and see how you can become their “selfie queen” and win over $200 worth of brow products. I invite you to get you “Final Touch” “On Fleek”.

Stand out above the crowd with Prestige

Prestige Cosmetics Total Intensity line is just what it says it is…INTENSE. I always loved adding bright vibrant colors into my makeup looks but sometimes, with my pale skin, no matter how intense they were they just never seemed to show up. With the Total Intensity line now us “porcelain canvas’ ” can rock out some vibrant colors. As you could see in my video (posted below) there is a lot of colors to choose from. Let me break down each one for you so you can get up close & personal with each one.

Total Intensity Prestige Cosmetics line (L-R) Lip Crayons, Mascara, Eye Liners, Shadow Crayon, Intensity Eye Shadows

Total Intensity Prestige Cosmetics line (L-R) Lip Crayons, Mascara, Eye Liners, Shadow Crayon, Intensity Eye Shadows

First off lets talk lips. The Total Intensity Lip Crayon is a smooth, luscious lip crayon that is long lasting and packed with color. Its discreet packaging makes it easily transportable and the greatest thing about the Total Wear Lip Crayons is when applying there is no need to add lip liner. Unless you want to. With its pointed edge it makes applying lips so much easier.

Now lets move on to the eyes. Let’s talk Total Intensity Color Rush colors. The design reminds me of a seashell. I received the “On the Prowl” which I love that name because it reminds me of my favorite animal.. the tiger. On The Prowl Color Rush is perfect combination of high, even pigment, and controlled application. It also has skin benefiting agents and looks gorgeous as an accent color. They work extremely well with the Fierce Color Eye shadows. I have Hocus Pocus & Obsession which are also great for use as liquid eyeliner. More high pigment and fun colors the possibilities are endless. Have fun with this one!

Watch video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoo7ldglVxU

When wanting a metallic, “foiled” on look, go for the True Metals from Total Intensity. Does not crease, easily buildable application so you can go as bold or as subtle as you like. I have used “Sterling” even wet and got an even more intense look. So much fun!
Now onto the trios. Three intense long lasting pigments packed into one package. Perfect for a “high fashion” edgy look with the three colors. Again very highly pigmented, long lasting and intense lol. Smoke & Mirrors will give you that perfect smoky eye. And that brings me to the eye shadow stick. A creamy textured eye shadow crayon that does not smudge and is long lasting giving you an incredibly bold pop of color. Jungle War green makes eye colors pop!

And of course last but not least, no eye look is complete without eyeliner and mascara. The Total Intensity eyeliners are waterproof, last up to 10 hours and have beautiful deep black undertones. This really makes all the colors accent your natural eye color beautifully. I tried to take off my eyeliner and had to wash my eyes 3 times just to get it completely off. They mean waterproof! Then those lashes need some intensity as well. With its uniquely designed wand. you can get the perfect coating and long luscious lashes instantly. Does not come off and wont smudge.
So if you want to “stand out above the crowd” check out http://www.prestigecosmetics.com/total-intensity.html Total Intensity line. Have some Intense fun now!

Coming in for a “Soft Landing”

I love doing my nails, I mean all us women love doing or getting our nails done am I right? But the only downfall of doing our nails is the mess we have to endure with all the nail filings, glitter, and spilled nail polish the chaos seems never ending. That is until you find that you can now come in for a “Soft Landing” mani/pedi with Soft Landings Towels. Owned and operated by Kathy Weltman, Soft Landings makes clean up a breeze.

Soft Landings Towels Logo

I wish I had known about these when I was a little girl. I can remember my mom would always get a little panicked when I painted my nails especially when designs got involved. Not much has changed but also this time with Soft Landings Towels, everything gets trapped within the fibers and can just be scooped up and tossed out. Soft Landings is also very beneficial for the salon professional when doing acrylics, and natural nail mani/pedis. Of course in the salon using the entire towel is the best so that it can cover the entire table top. But when I’m doing my nails at home, I cut the towel into sections big enough for one hand. That way you can have more than one.

Soft Landings Packaging

Soft Landings Packaging

Not only does Soft Landings Towels offer their line of Table Towels, they also have individual squares for removing gel or shellac polish. But that’s not it. Oh NO! A product like this is the true “jack of all trades” when it comes to uses. When in need grab them for your facial room or even for cosmetics. In fact some well known names proudly use the Soft Landings towels such as Essie, Milday Text books, Footlogix and Dazzle Dry… just to name a few.

So if you are tired of the mess, and don’t want to deal with anymore nasty lint bugs, or staining etc. check out www.softlandingstowels.com “Put your hands on these”

Old mascara + contact solution= beautiful lashes

If you are anything like me you absolutely love makeup but sometimes find quicker is better. Especially if you don’t have a lot of time in the morning. Lately I have been looking up other makeup artists to learn their techniques and have also been looking up different techniques on the internet. One quick makeup “hack” I have found to be very useful lately (and a big money saver) is taking some contact solution and putting a couple drops into an old, flaky mascara. The solution will help smooth out the dried up mascara inside the tube so that you can use it all up. But word of caution, if you have had the mascara for longer than 3 months be sure to discard it. Having any makeup product past a certain point can result in infections, breakouts and more.

I know that many times I would go an buy a whole new thing of mascara not knowing that there was still mascara left over in the tubes. When I found out about the contact solution trick I couldn’t wait to share it. Now we can all save money & time and have beautiful lashes once again! So check out the contact solution trick and let me know what you think.

From the salon to the runway

There is so much more to this industry than just standing behind the chair. I remember hearing that when I went to beauty school but I had no idea what exactly my educators were talking about. Until it happened. Thats exactly what Tearsheet and Giovanni Giuntoli shares in their 3 day workshop experiences. Starting with Giovanni’s own image of becoming an editorial stylist, & wanting to educate and support other hairstylists,Tearsheet gives stylists the tools they need to build a portfolio, grow a business, along with branding themselves within the industry. Learn how to break down hairstyles in magazine pictures, understanding more of how to do hair with the end result in mind, keeping longevity in hairstyles and so much more.

Tearsheet offers experiences every month where Giovanni and the Tearsheet team of educators will go to your salon and bring education to your team. In the experiences students/stylists will work 1 day with the team hands-on a mannequin doing techniques and watching demos while the following 2 days are “on photo set” educational experiences. All the while you are immersed, being the best way to learn anything, in the photo shoot culture while learning and expanding on your skills. When they become a Tearsheet graduate, Tearsheet will have you on the list of artists to be invited to working NY Fashion Week, Photo Shoots, and much more.

Giovanni started doing hair in Chicago as an assistant. He assisted a stylist on an editoial shoot and became inspired when the images came back of his hairstyle. Its just that Amazing!

When you have one product that can do a multitude of things, it can easily becomes one of those “I cant live without it” deals. That’s how I feel about my Amazing Cosmetics Perfection Sticks. Coming in 4, moisturizing shades, from fair to deep, covering, contouring and highlighting was never easier. Even as a professional I still had some trouble getting the right look of it. The great thing about the Perfection Sticks is you don’t have to be a professional to use them and also they are portable so you can take all this with you.

Not only is Amazing Cosmetics Perfection Stick ideal for contouring, highlighting and covering but you can also use it for prepping the eyelids for eye shadow. It will help accentuate the colors, keep them from creasing and make them last longer. Use it as a highlighter around the brow bone to make eyes pop and define the eyebrow. I also, found that dabbing just a little bit on the top and bottom lips will keep your lipstick or lip gloss last longer as well.

I highly recommend the Perfection Sticks for anyone with oily/combination skin, & even if you have dry skin. The sticks are moisturizing and easy to apply so you wont feel like your pores are being clogged or heavy. I have used products for covering and I feel like I'm putting oil directly on my skin. Not with these though. Its like silk when it glides on your skin. Little by little they turn from sticks to your go to "magic wands".

There is just so much you can do with the Amazing Cosmetics Perfection Stick that we would be here forever trying to talk about it. I share some of my favorite ways to do it in my video and be sure to check out www.amazingcosmetics.com for more tips tricks and products!

Clean it up with CeraVe

For the past couple of weeks I have been horrible when it comes to my skincare routine. Being that I work from home I felt that it was not a big deal to worry to much about washing my face or doing moisturizer etc. Boy was I WRONG! My skin felt so rugged, looked very dull and acne was coming out of nowhere. At times I noticed that the less I did to my face the better it was but you can only do that for so long. One week ago I tried a product that transformed my skin and now I can’t get enough….CeraVe Renewing SA Cleanser.

CeraVe

CeraVe

The Renewing SA Cleanser is new product that helps to eliminate acne, dissolve dirt and oil leaving your skin feeling soft. Not only that but it will give off a nice, youthful glow. At night when it is time to take off your makeup, if your anything like me, you dread doing it. Many cleansers I have tried do not dig down deep and get all the layers off. The foaming effect really helps to exfoliate and get every last morsel of makeup off. I recommend this product for all skin types and even if it is sensitive.

The hydrating cleanser bar, just like the cleanser for the face, helps your skin all over. If you want to now more about CeraVe and all the products check out www.cerave.com

Get the look: Shailene Woodley

Best Female Performance winner Shailene Woodley rocked the carpet last night at the 2015 MTV Movie Awards with a French inspired, bold yet naturally radiant look, created by Celebrity Makeup Artist Roxy.

Shailene Woodley

Shailene Woodley

To achieve this look, Roxy hydrated Shailene’s face by applying Laurel Whole Plants Organic Skin Facial Elixir to her face, neck and décolletage. Next, to even out her skin tone and achieve a flawless finish, Roxy applied a sheer foundation with a beauty blender sponge. She then softly played up the definition of Shailene’s cheek bones with a warm cream RMS Bronzer. Following this, for extra radiance, Roxy applied RMS illuminizer down the bridge of Shailene’s nose, above and around the corners of her brows, in a C shaped manner.

For her eyes, Roxy applied a chocolate brown liner along the top and bottom lash lines, diffusing it softly with a petite eye brush. To emphasize the eyes a bit more, she layered a soft black liner on her top lid with a subtle smudge. Last but not least, Roxy focused on Shailene’s lips, applying a mixture of Burt’s Bees Lip Crayons in Napa Vineyard and Redwood Forest ($9, www.burtbees.com), for a rich, bold and creamy red that finished the look flawlessly.
