Lovin’ Your Hair with Philip B

I am very excited to try the Phillip B Lovin’ Leave-in Conditioner. My hair being curly tends to get dry and feel brittle at times that anything “leave-in” has got my name written all over it. Our hair is the first thing people see and also reflects our allover health. So if it’s not healthy then it shows that we as humans are not taking care of ourselves. This is a Part of the Grammy’s

The 55th annual Grammy Awards stunned with stars from Katy Perry to Beyonce.  When it comes to award shows (and being a hairdresser myself), I always LOVE to see the different hairstyles.  One look that killed was Katy Perry.  Head to toe she stunned that red carpet with a hairstyle, courtesy of Renato Campora and KMS® California hair care.  See how you to can achieve this look below.

Do It Yourself Hairstyles

Looking for a great Holiday Do? Try one of these great step by step hairstyles.

The Top Knot, similar to the Carrie Bradshaw moment

1.Brush out your hair so that it’s nice and smooth
2.Flip your head over and put your hair in a high ponytail at the top of your head and secure with a hair tie. (Use a hair tie color closest to your hair color)
3.Twist, braid, or simply wrap your ponytail hair around the hair tie to create a smooth “knot” and secure with a second hair tie.
4.Use bobby pins to secure any loose pieces.
5.Spray with a little bit of hairspray and use to smooth out any frizzies.

 

For something softer:

1. Create a deep side part when hair is wet
2. Then blow dry hair using hands.
3. Next, with a one 1/4 inch curling iron, curl your hair.
4. Then pull your hair into a low ponytail at the nape of the neck, leaving a few pieces in front to frame the face,
5. Secure with a piece of hair from the underneath by wrapping it around the base of the ponytail; this creates a beautiful, clean hold.

*****You can also pull your hair into a chignon

 

For something in between, (half up do) :
1. Once hair is dried, used a one inch curling iron and curled from the bottom of the hair to create tousled undone waves. 
2. Leaving a few pieces in front to frame the face, pull the hair from the sides to the center and secure with bobby pins.
3. Leave the rest of the hair down, in front of the shoulders to keep the look modern. 
4. To secure the look, apply Hairspray to maintain the look.

Ever since I was little I have always had a bad luck with the sun.  With my fair skin and freckles I would load up on sunscreen, LITERALLY.   I swear my mom would put the whole container on go me and now that I am older I rarely go out into the sun. Glamourize in your Sleep

Beauty rest!  I know you have heard that getting a good night’s sleep is essential for your overall general health. Bigger is Better

“The bigger the hair the smaller the hips”- Fran Drescher (As Fran Fine “The Nanny”)

When I was younger the show, next to “I Love Lucy”, was “The Nanny”.  I thought everything about her was just so funny, but the one thing I always remembered was her hair.  In many episodes you would see Fran rolling, and backcombing, and hairspraying the dickens out of her hair to give it that big poofy “bubble” in the front.
