Jaguar, Gucci, Land Rover, Cartier And Prada Are Some of The Top Luxury Brands

Jaguar is Top Luxury Brand Followed by Land Rover and Rolex. The luxury industry ranked 13th out of the 15 studied in MBLM’s Brand Intimacy 2018 Report, which is the largest study of brands based on emotions. Jaguar again came in first in the industry followed by Land Rover and Rolex. The remaining brands in the Top 10 for the luxury industry were: Cartier, Hermès, Gucci, Tiffany & Company, Channel, Louis Vuitton and Prada.

Brand Intimacy is defined as a new paradigm that leverages and strengthens the emotional bonds between a person and a brand. For the third year, the study revealed that top intimate brands in the U.S. surpassed the top brands in the Fortune 500 and S&P indices in revenue and profit over the past 10 years.

“Luxury brands continue to struggle establishing strong emotional connections with consumers. This is a surprising result given how ionic and well known these brands are. We believe luxury brands fail to focus enough on building reciprocal relationships or leverage the power of emotion. We see this as an untapped opportunity,” stated Mario Natarelli, managing partner, MBLM.

Other significant luxury findings in MBLM’s Brand Intimacy 2018 Report include:

  • The industry had an average Brand Intimacy Quotient of 11.9, well below the study average of 27.1
  • Indulgence, which is associated with pampering and gratification, is the dominant archetype in the category
  • Gucci ranked highest for indulgence in the industry
  • Jaguar is the only brand in the category within the Top 100 intimate brands overall, ranking 91st
  • Jaguar ranked #1 for men, women and millennials
  • Land Rover ranked #1 for people between 55-64 years old
  • Study participants with incomes higher than $100,000 ranked Rolex first
  • Hermès declined in the study, while Rolex, Cartier and Gucci all improved their Brand Intimacy score
  • The luxury industry performed better in Mexico, where it ranked 10th and in the UAE, where it ranked 7th

This year’s report contains the most comprehensive rankings of brands based on emotion, analyzing the responses of 6,000 consumers and 54,000 brand evaluations across 15 industries in the U.S., Mexico and UAE. MBLM’s reports and interactive Brand Ranking Tool showcase the performance of almost 400 brands, revealing the characteristics and intensity of the consumer bonds.

Methodology – During 2017, MBLM with Praxis Research Partners conducted an online quantitative survey among 6,000 consumers in the United States (3,000), Mexico (2,000), and the United Arab Emirates (1,000). Participants were respondents who were screened for age (i.e. 18 to 64 years of age) and annual household income ($35,000 or more) in the U.S. and socioeconomic levels in Mexico and the UAE (A, B, and C socioeconomic levels). Quotas were established to ensure that the sample mirrored census data for age, gender, income/socioeconomic level, and region. The survey was designed primarily to understand the extent to which consumers have relationships with brands and the strength of those relationships, from fairly detached to highly intimate. It is important to note that this study provides more than a mere ranking of brand performance and was specifically designed to provide prescriptive guidance to marketers. We modeled data from a total of 54,000 brand evaluations to quantify the mechanisms that drive intimacy. Through factor analysis, structural equation modeling, and other sophisticated analytic techniques, the research allows marketers to better understand which levers need to be pulled to build intimacy between brands and consumers.

Beauty Tips for Removing and Preventing Blackheads

Do you look in the mirror and see those unwanted blackheads on your nose or chin?  If so, worry not, you are just like most people in the world. Even celebrities have to deal with these showing up on their skin. There are many ‘at home’ remedies you can try before splurging on a facial to get rid of them.  However, using a blackhead remosalonprices.com, val tool such as a face steamer is generally worth it, since it’s a one-time cost that will allow you to have clear skin forever.  Before you begin, the one rule you must follow is to not squeeze the blackheads.  This could cause scarring, infection, or inflammation.1.

  1. Use a Face Steamer

The best way to remove blackheads is to use a face steamer every few days or when blackheads become visible.  This method can be used on the entire face and allows blackheads to             slip out of the skin naturally, painlessly, and with no chance of infection or scarring.  While this is an expensive item, it works incredibly well, lasts for years, and will put an end to               blackheads once and for all.

      2.  Exfoliate with Baking Soda

Baking Soda has a number of surprising uses, including some that focus on personal health and beauty. One of the uses is by creating a natural method for exfoliating skin.  It is also           often used in a salon for microdermabrasion treatments.  Mix the water and baking soda together to create a paste and put it onto your skin. You can use this as a scrubbing paste to           open your pores and clear away the blackheads.

       3. Pore Strips

You can use homemade or store bought pore strips to put onto your nose.  However, these only give an immediate result in your skin, not one that will further prevent more from                 occurring in the future.  For that, you would need a preventative measure, which you can read on to find out about!  Pore strips can be expensive if purchased online or in stores –               however, they are relatively easy to make at home for next to nothing.

       4. Salicylic Acid

In order to break down the oil trapped inside your pores, you need to use a beta-hydoxy acid, or salicylic.  You can find these in peels or masks. It will work to dissolve any build up in         your pores.  By using this consistently, you can prevent them from forming again.

If you have the urge to splurge, you should treat yourself to a microdermabrasion treatment.  This treatment will exfoliate your skin leaving it looking radiant. However, the results are not permanent.

How to Prevent Blackheads

Now that you know how to get rid of them, in the future, you want to try to prevent them from ever coming back.  There are a few ways you can try and avoid having them resurface.  First and foremost, try not to wear too much make-up.  Keeping your face relatively clean will prevent build up and your pores from being clogged.  It also helps to focus on preparing your own healthy foods at home, or making sure to eat out at places that serve natural and healthy foods, such as various soups and salads.

Whether you wear make-up and need to clean it off, or you are just washing up before bed, make sure to wash your face with gentle cleansers. You do not want a product that will make your skin produce more oil, which would then create blackheads.  Wash your face with a natural cleanser. A trick of the trade to help keep off any leftover dirt and tighten up your pores is by using witch hazel before putting on a moisturizer. Now that your face is clean, make sure to wash your pillowcases weekly, in order to clean off any oils you may have left behind or dead skin.

Besides these preventative measures, you can also use a facial steamer every few weeks; create your own natural cleansing method and facial mask.  Additionally, throughout the day, dab your face with a paper towel to soak up any oil – to keep your pores from clogging up!

  1. Use disposable body wipes or medicated/herbal wet tissues right after a workout. This will help in removing excess oil from your skin.
  2. Always carry a small towel with you to wipe the excess sweat.
  3. Avoid touching your facewith bare hands to keep bacterial infections and acne at bay.
  4. Use afoot deodorizer to clean your feet after a heavy workout.
  5. Skip the tanning bed. It’s harmful to your skin, in so many ways. There’s also the range of cosmetic skin concerns, like wrinkles and sun spots. Opt for a self-tanning lotion or simply working out outdoors with SPF will give you a natural glow.
  6. BYOT (Bring Your Own Towel!)If you opt for a gym washroom for a shower, be careful of the towels and cleansing products you use. Do not use towels already used by someone. The sweat of other people can cause acne on your skin. Cleaning your skin should be hygienic.
  7. Wear fresh clothes after showering. Also, avoid wearing gym clothes after washing yourself clean. Gym clothes will be sweaty and grimy; they may cause acne and other skin related problems.
  8. Avoid close contact.Other people’s sweat may also cause skin acne, pimples and other related problems. That hug to your trainer or gym buddy can end up triggering a breakout.
  9. Skip the hot water.Sure, your muscles are sore, and you’re in the mood for a hot shower after a workout. Hot water strips skin of vital oils, leaving you with dry, itchy, dull skin.
  10. Reduce the redness.Calm down a flushed face with your own redness control remedy made up of a little bit of iced green tea and a spray bottle. You’ll cool down your skin and add in a few extra anti-oxidants in the process.
  11. Rehydrate your skin.  After enduring a good workout and cleanse, it’s critical to re-establish the natural moisture and oils that have been removed from your skin.  When it comes to your face, you really should invest in a high quality, fast-absorbing, nutrient-rich product that includes vitamins A and E and the super-ingredient hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring compound that is expert at restoring moisture to your skin and has also been shown to stimulate collagen production. If you’ve been exercising outdoors, a moisturizer with anti-oxidant ingredients is important to help repair damage caused by UV exposure and other environmental factors.
  12. Go bare. Morning gym people there’s no need to apply make-up. If you work out after work consider taking a face-wipe to remove dirt, make-up which may blend with sweat triggering breakouts. You want your skin to be able to breathe while you’re working out.
  13. Wear a hairband.Hair should always be pulled back from your face, not only because of sweat, but because of your hair products, too. If you are seeing breakouts on your forehead or hairline, mousses, gels, or other hair products could be to blame. An elastic headband worn behind the ears about an inch from the hairline keeps stray hairs off the face.
  14. Wear gloves when working out.In addition to protecting hands from rough calluses, gloves also prevent the transmission of bacteria and viruses like warts and staphylococcus bacteria; which can cause impetigo. Impetigo is a common skin infection that can be easily transmitted at the gym and result in blisters and sores. If you choose not to wear gloves during a work-out, disinfect your equipment with a wipe or spray.

How to Buy 2018’s Hottest Jewelry Accessory

Diamonds, you’ve been warned. It certainly seems as though many women are reconsidering what gemstone is their real best friend. Fashion is embracing a new gemstone with open arms. The good news? You might even already have some in your repertoire. If you don’t, you might consider raiding your mother or grandmother’s jewelry box.

The elegant pearl is once again in the midst of an epic fashion comeback. Fashion magazine’s like Vogue, Elle, Allure and Vanity Fair have even gone as far as saying that pearls are in the middle of a renaissance. It’s not hard to see why, either. From Rihanna and Taylor Swift to Kim Kardashian and Ivanka Trump, you don’t have to look far to find pearls in the spotlight.

Looking to get in on the trend? We don’t blame you. But just how do you go about buying pearls, and how can you really get started with a collection of your own? We’ve got you covered.

Study Up

Rule number one: Not all pearls are created equal. From Golden South Sea to Tahitian Black pearls, do your research. Pearls come in dozens of varieties, and each carries its own price tag. Plus, there are dozens colors, shapes, and shades (best you didn’t know that, did you?) so find something that works well with your skin tone and suits your style. About 30 minutes worth of research should do the trick before you head to the store or your favorite website to pick up a pair of studs or a necklace. If you’re heading line, make sure the retailer is reputable by reading online reviews and checking their Better Business Bureau rating.

Keep it Simple

But really. Please. Keep. It. Simple. There’s no need to dive in with an investment of hundreds, if not thousands of dollars. Pearl experts recommend you start with freshwater studs or pearl necklaces. Today’s freshwater selection is typically high quality and just as beautiful as anything else you’ll find, but at a fraction of the price.

Hatin’ on Fakes

We love costume jewelry just as much as the next girl, but when it comes to pearls do yourself a favour and buy the real thing. Fake pearls look and feel cheap. Worse, you can typically tell they’re fake, even from a distance. They don’t glow or shine like the real thing, and you’re not going to pull off the look successfully if you skimp.

That said, there’s nothing wrong with cultured or freshwater pearls. In fact, the cultured pearl industry is buzzing, and you can get high-quality pearls for a fraction of the price of their natural counterparts. The Pearl Source is a good option for all sorts of pearls, but their freshwater pearls selection is pretty legit.

Less is More

Thick, chunky jewelry is out of style. What’s even more out of style? Layering those same thick, chunky pieces. It looks clunky and unsophisticated. Instead, pick long strands of pearls of smaller size for a chic yet edgy look. For bracelets, you can layer pearls just about however you wish. One thing most people don’t consider, though, is how their pearl bracelets are strung.

Dress ‘em Down

Pearls have shaken their conservative, formal reputation. Try pairing different colors with dressed down styles. Tahitian black gemstones go well with denim – and for that matter so do traditional shades of white. Blues and greens work well for the spring, especially when paired with floral patterns. Don’t be afraid to shop for pearls strung on leather and even twine. It’s a great way to dress down pearls.

Best Practices for Winter Skincare

The chilly winter temperature can give your skin a natural blush, making it appear rosy. However, low temperatures may not be exactly good for the health of your skin. It can remove natural oils and can make the skin prone to dryness. It can also end up itchy and painful, which can trigger conditions like eczema. To make sure that your skin will stay at its best even during the winter, keep in mind the things that will be briefly discussed in the rest of this post.

Start with Cleansing

Cleansing is the first thing that should be part of your winter skincare routine. If you usually cleanse your skin three times in a day, you can reduce it to only two times in the winter. Regardless of what else you do after, cleansing is the most important step. You should be cautious about the products that you are using. As much as possible, use plant based skincare products, which do not contain harsh ingredients.

Moisturize More Frequently

If you have a moisturizer that worked perfectly for your skin in the summer, this does not necessarily mean that it can deliver the same level of effectiveness in the winter. Look for an oil-based moisturizer, which can help to replenish the natural oils on your skin. Stay away from those that contain petroleum-based ingredients. Try the moisturizer from Well Within Beauty, which is known for having natural and hydrating ingredients.

Drink Lots of Water

Hydration is not only important during the hot summer months, but also in the winter. Make sure to drink at least eight glasses of water in a day. It will hydrate the skin in and out. Add lemon to your water so that it will be more refreshing. If you drink more water, your skin will also appear more glowing and youthful, which is especially great for people who are fighting aging of the skin.

Go Natural

There are many natural ingredients that can be effective in winter skincare. For instance, you can apply mashed ripe avocado on your face and remove it after 15 minutes. This will be an excellent alternative for a moisturizer. A banana face mask will also moisturize the skin naturally. Meanwhile, aloe vera will improve the texture of the skin and will be an excellent relief from dryness.

Use Sunscreen

Because it’s cold, this does not mean that you can skip the sunscreen. It’s important to note that snow intensifies sunlight, which makes it more important to take care of your skin in the winter. However, according to The Skin Cancer Foundation, strong wind and snow can take away your sunscreen, which is why you need to reapply more often to enjoy a higher level of effectiveness.

Even during the winter season, there should be no excuse to not take care of your skin. Just like any time of the year, you need to be proactive in taking care of your skin to prevent the most common problems, such as dryness.

Glucosamine – A Necessary Ingredient for your Glam Pets

With aging, recovery process of in the body of every animal goes down. Having said that, we mean, your body loses more than it generates such as the number of cells or cartilages. That’s why you start feeling weak and joint pain, for instance, with the growing age. In the process, you gradually lose physical strength to work etc. Your pets are no different. In other words, your glam pets too can become a patient of osteoarthritis (a degenerative joint disease) with age. But, the good news is that glucosamine for dogs, for instance, can bring a real difference to your dog’s wellbeing.

A few facts about your pet care:

Being the owner of a pet, it is your responsibility to keep a check on its behavior from time to time, especially if you are quite busy during the weekdays. Like you, there are, in fact, many who can’t really afford time playing with their pets. There’s nothing so sorry about it. However, coming to the point, you must check your pet’s behavior regularly. You may see that with the growing age, your dog, for instance, is losing its zeal to move around you looking for some cuddling etc. when you are at home. This can be read as an early symptom of a joint pain or the degenerative cartilage at the joints.

As a remedial measure here, you have to start with a regular dose of glucosamine for dogs under the advice of a vet. It is important to consult a doctor in the first place since your understanding about the pet’s unwillingness to mobility may not be correct. In fact, seeking a doctor’s advice works like a stitch in time that saves nine here.

What is glucosamine?

In simple words, glucosamine is an amino derivative of glucose (popularly known as sugar) that helps in the synthesis of lipids as well as glycosylated proteins in an animal body. However, the concentration of glucosamine is high in a healthy cartilage. It means with the growing age of your pet, the concentration of glucosamine in the cartilage goes down thereby makes the cartilage fragile. This results in joint pain.

It is important to mention here that glycosaminoglycan is naturally produced by your pet’s body. But, with aging, the production of it goes down thereby hinders the recovery process of tissues and the cartilage of your pet. Therefore, you need to give your pet an external dose of glucosamine to support the recovery process there. At the same time, you would require spending time in training and exercise your pet on weekends, to say the least, so that the pet remains active and lives long.

Glucosamine supplements:

There is no dearth of glucosamine supplements in any market around the world. However, you can give glucosamine hydrochloride, NAG 1000, and glucosamine sulfate to your pet as the supplement. However, glucosamine sulfate is the most common supplement used by the pet owners.

On the whole, your glam pets need a special care and attention with its’ growing age. Once you do that, your pets will remain healthy and active during its’ lifetime.
