Colgate® Launches Optic White® Advanced LED Whitening

Colgate’s innovative new at-home whitening system is designed for ease of use and delivers clinically-proven results in a matter of days. The Colgate ® Optic White ®Advanced LED Whitening Treatment results in teeth that are six shades whiter in ten days. Like a professional whitening treatment, this safe, at-home device uses new patented technology and blue LED lights to effectively activate and lift stains quickly. Using the system for ten minutes a day for ten days can remove decades of wine and coffee stains and provide a brighter, whiter smile.

 

“What makes this product unique is the combination of its performance and ease of use,” says John Kooyman, Chief Marketing Officer, Colgate-Palmolive. “We’re proud to offer the clinically-proven guarantee of whitening teeth that are up to six shades whiter in just ten days. Many at-home whiteners are cumbersome, complicated or ineffective, but with our introduction, we bring to the market a product that is both easy to use and highly effective.”

The device is designed with a rechargeable battery which allows for a consistent power outlay. This ensures the LED light panel, containing over seven hundred micro lights, is always running at an optimal wavelength for effective performance. The non-UV blue light level accelerates the whitening power by 190% of the 9% hydrogen peroxide, the same whitening ingredient used by dentists. Recommended usage calls for dispensing a vial of the whitening gel on the top and bottom sections of the mouthpiece. Once inserted and powered on, the LED lights are activated and the whitening process begins. The device beeps halfway through, at the five-minute mark, and again when complete. To achieve optimal results, this process should be repeated for 10 straight days.

“We’ve spent the past five years perfecting the LED device and treatment system,” explains Hallie Strotman, R&D. “Every element of the finished product had to meet our criteria of being well-designed, comfortable and most importantly, deliver the whitening results today’s discerning consumer demands.” The overall product has over 80 patents globally from the development of the device and its design to the compact, rechargeable case.

The Colgate ® Optic White ®  Advanced LED Whitening Treatment is available at shop.colgate.com and retails for $185, which includes the rechargeable device and a 10-day supply of whitening serum. The kit can also be purchased for $145 if opting for the serum refill subscription service. The 10-day supply of Colgate ® Optic White ® Serum Refills are sold separately for $49 and the 5-day supply is $29.

Great Tips For Feeling Zen

Feeling zen takes time and effort. Although once you are there, it may very well feel effortless. How do you go from someone who feels the stress piling up to someone able to process stress in healthy ways? 

 

We know that people aren’t great at looking after themselves; in fact, they will often simply forget for so long it becomes alien. But when we take care of ourselves, we make better decisions, we are more productive, our relationships are better, and we just feel great. 

 

 

So here are a few tips to get you feeling zen. 

Plants

Get some plants in and around your home. Not only will you have to take care of them, but it is a simple joy to watch them grow over time. If you want to take this one step further, then you can plant a range of seeds and grow them from scratch. A great option is to grow herbs if you are a first-timer – they tend to be more forgiving than many other flowering plants. The green pops around your home will up your productivity and give you a nice happy feeling. 

Sleep

When it comes to sleep, many of us just aren’t getting enough. Which can really add to your stress levels. If you find you can’t wind down, get into a routine of warm herbal tea, reading a book instead of watching TV, and dim the lights. When you do finally get into bed, rather than just hope you get to sleep, try listening to sleep stories from the Calm app or the Headspace app. The stories are soothing and in a gentle tone that will have you drifting off in minutes, 

Happy Body

Drinking plenty of water and going for a walk every day will have you feeling much perkier. Do things that you love and wear clothes you enjoy too. Although not everyone loves everything about themselves, you can make changes if you want. Hair dye, lip fillers, and laser treatments are one effective fat removal treatment if you should want that. Take some time to love your body, but love the changes you want to make too. 

Painting

Painting can be so relaxing. Many people worry because they don’t feel like they can produce anything that looks nice. The great thing is that there are many methods of painting, and you don’t have to fit into any of them. You are free to discover how you want to use the colour and canvas. A great technique for a starter is the Dutch pouring technique. The colors are free to run and mix, and you can gently guide them in any direction you like. And the instructional videos are very soothing too. 

Walk It Out

You are ideally supposed to walk at least once a day. It doesn’t matter if it just around the block or through the woods. Getting your blood pumping improves the oxygen flow to your body and brain. It also gives you a chance to think and stroll – which is pretty lovely.

Looking As Young As You Feel: Here’s How You Can Do It

As each day passes, we get older. It’s inevitable. But as each day passes our desire to look and feel more youthful increases. We are always looking for the next big trend to help use with younger looking skin, or a flawless complexion. The beauty of all of this is that we have the control to make things happen. Sometimes we just have to take the right steps and make good decisions. The issue is that we can often let how we feel take control of out actions, and instead of embracing a younger style because we love it, wearing a colour that we think makes our skin glow, or even a makeup look seemingly reserved for teens, we can shy away from it through fear of what people think. But no more. You can look as young as you feel, and there are so many options in which you can do it. With that in mind, here are some of the ways you can look more youthful. 

Drinking more water

Increasing the amount of water you drink on a daily basis can help you with your appearance. Hydrating your body can reduce the dark circles that appear around your eyes and clear up your skin complexion. Often our skin can look tired and grey, and this can be down to being dehydrated. Drinking more water can also help in regards to your sleep. Being more rested will make you look and feel more youthful. You will have much more energy and the appearance of bags, and tired eyes will disappear. 

Botox

Sometimes people won’t want to consider things like this, but botox can help you appear younger. Botox is a neuromodulator that works by relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles by using botox injections. This means that the wrinkles around your eyes and face reduce or disappear after a few treatments. Sometimes the wrinkles on our face are an indicator of getting older. Botox has other benefits which include the reduction in sweating and can help to treat migraines. 

Clever makeup tricks

A youthful appearance can be achieved by the use of clever makeup tricks. This might mean trying your hand at contouring to enhance the appearance of cheekbones. As we get older, our spontaneity can reduce, and often things like decisions for piercings can be put to the back of our minds.
