NYFW’s Cutest Models!

As all the crazy and madness from fashion week has come to an end, I wanted to make sure you saw this season’s cutest AND smallest models to take the runway. This year Cantu hosted the ever adorable McClure Twins to walk in the 2017 Texture on the Runway show.  Not only were Ava and Alexa incredibly cute but their hair looked amazing, thanks to Cantu’s marvelous Global Artist, Maria Antoinette!

Ava’s style: The Braided Half Up Half Fro (Orange Skirt)

Step 1: Start by detangling hair with Cantu Kid’s Conditioning Detangler, followed by cleansing and conditioning with Cantu Kids Tear Free Nourishing Shampoo and Cantu Nourishing Conditioner

Step 2: With dried hair, section the top section from ear to ear and secure the back portion of hair with an elastic band

Step 3: Part out a middle section for the first braid, braid that back all the way to the ends of the hair in that section

Step 4: On each side of the middle braid, braid 5 braids in a diagonal from the center braid back toward the original part, make sure that each braid is braided to the ends. For the 6th braid closest to the ear, part out a section and braid from behind the ear towards the front. These will hang forward, and get decorated with beads. Repeat on both sides of the middle braid

Step 5: Release the large section of hair in the back. Add the Cantu Kids Curling Cream, followed by the Cantu Styling Custard. Make sure all the hair is evenly coated and start finger coiling the curls. Repeat on all the back section of hair

Step 6: Take the braid tails and combine 2 to 3 braids and twist into a Bantu knot at the base of each cornrows. Bead the two hanging forward braids

Step 7: Once the back hair is dry separate the curls and pick at the root for volume

Alexis’s style: The Braided Frohawk (Green Skirt)

Step 1: Start by detangling hair with Cantu Kid’s Conditioning Detangler, followed by cleansing and conditioning with Cantu Kids Tear Free Nourishing Shampoo and Cantu Nourishing Conditioner

Step 2: Section the hair into three sections from forehead to the nape. Creating a Mohawk in the middle and two sections one on each side. Secure each section with an elastic

Step 3: With each side section, install 10-12 cornrows. Leave the ends of the braid loose to blend into the curly-hawk, that will be in the middle

Step 4: With both sides cornrowed down, Add the Cantu Kids Curling Cream, followed by the Cantu Styling Custard. Make sure all the hair is evenly coated and start large chunky two strained Twist. Twist to the ends and then twist into a Bantu Knot. Repeat on the full middle section including the loose cornrow ends

Step 5: Allow those to set a few hours or overnight. Un- twist and pick at the roots to hide parts and create volume.

Step 6: Add colorful hair clips to jazz up the finished look
