The Founder of UsTrendy which specializes in fashion for juniors and young women, has launched a philanthropic foundation called “The Believe in Yourself Project.”  The program provided thousands of dresses to girls and young women who could not otherwise afford them, to wear at their upcoming school dances. In 2017, The Believe in Yourself Project will be providing dresses for winter dances and homecoming.

In conjunction with donating dresses, Sisakhti seeks to create a mentor program that will provide mentoring services and other support and also bring in women speakers to talk to the girls. The aim is to promote a positive body image and healthy self esteem among young women at an early age, empowering these young girls to take on active social roles within their school communities and to feel good about themselves.

Donations began last winter. “It is truly amazing experience to hear many of the girls say that they now have the confidence to attend their first school dance, now that they have a dress that they feel good about wearing,” says Sisakhti.

This coming week, UsTrendy will be delivering more dresses to the Boys and Girls Clubs around country.
