In honor of the month of February, Valentine’s Day and the celebration of Love especially for the love of beautiful roses; I thought I would share with you my latest video and a DIY on the FLY box of roses craft project.  This is so easy anyone can make it and the real beauty is that you can make this any time of the year for yourself, as a gift or as a centerpiece for any holiday, event or life celebration.  Be sure to check out my YouTube channel and my new web series DIY on the FLY at www.youtube.com/c/juleeireland and please like, share and subscribe. Each week I post new DIY on the FLY video craft project tutorials for your home and lifestyle. They’re always chic, easy, super fun and budget friendly to make!

Here’s how you make a gorgeous box of roses…

Supplies: box, plastic liner, disposable plastic container that will fit into your box or Saran wrap to line your box, wet floral foam, floral tape (optional), spray paint or wrapping paper to decorate your box (optional), ribbon (optional), scissors, blue painters masking tape for stripes (optional), flowers (various varieties of roses and peonies work beautifully).
Step One: Use your masking tape to mask off a design for your box. Such as: Stripes. (this is optional) Next, use your spray paint to paint your box in your desired color. Option Two: Use decorative wrapping paper, old sheet music or photos to wrap or create a collage with ModPodge on the exterior of your box.
Step Two: Line your box with your plastic liner, container or plastic wrap.
Step Three: Cut your wet floral foam to fit inside your box. When your floral foam is cut to fit; saturate it well with water and put it into your box. Optional: Use your floral tape to create a 1” grid on top of the box as a guide to insert your roses into the center of each square.
Step Four: Cut your roses at a 45 degree angle so that they are the correct height to fit just over the top of your box. Insert your cut roses into your wet floral foam or into the open areas on your tape grid.
Step Five: Add a Ribbon band, bow or handwritten message of Love and Voila! You’ve just created a lovely box of Roses!

How to Stop Blame Game in Your Relationship

Blame games occur often in relationships, particularly, when the problem arises and no one admits his or her fault. Every person bears some flaws. Most of the time, a person tries to defend his or her stance by putting the blame on others. When a person undergoes a negative experience, certain defenses develop in mind. These defenses do not allow a person to trust others. However, continuation of blame game does not make partners happy and may lead to separation, but there are ways to work on this issue and live a happy life.

Avoid Framing Case

When conflict takes place, it is easy to bring allegations on partner’s character with all kinds of proof. You may start pointing out incidents where your partner has failed to perform the prescribed task.

Framing case against your partner is problematic. Once you start to see your partner in a certain way, you often judge his or her actions in a negative manner. You often treat innocent comments as critical ones. Here, you need to maintain a balanced perspective on situations that occur. Maintain Calmness

Analyze Your Patterns

When you have calmed yourself and have stepped away from the argument, you start figuring out your patterns. When you get triggered, it is crucial for you to observe the moment. You have to analyze if you have overreacted. Is your reaction anything to do with the past?

You can think about what sets you off and the patterns that influence your relationship. Here, you need to accept that a couple is formed with two persons having different mindsets. You have to respect the compassion and differences when you are at confrontation with your partner.

Be Bold to Receive a Feedback

When you initiate a dialogue, it is important to listen to the points, which your partner says. Feedback should not be avoided. Do not think that you would be devastated when you receive feedback. A feedback has the power of bringing transformation to one’s life by helping him or her to live with honesty.

Develop the Sense of Compassion

When you start identifying your defenses and those of your partner, you would know why your partner behaves in a particular manner. When you find the reasons of getting triggered, you can develop the sense of compassion.

In order to stop the blame game, you need to calm down yourself first. Then you can easily analyze yours as well as behavioral patterns of your partner and ask for feedback. This way, you can settle for a happy deal with your partner.

Saturday night SAC Award presenter Demi Moore stunned in a vintage Zac Posen gown with a timeless and elegant makeup look created by makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury.

 

When asked about the look, Tilbury said, “Demi and I wanted the makeup to match the elegance of the Zac Posen gown. I chose to go with my signature Dolce Vita eye look to enhance Demi’s amazing green eyes.”

 

Below, Tilbury shares the key steps she took to create Demi’s look:

 

  1. To prep Demi’s skin and ensure a flawless canvas, Charlotte applied Magic Cream to the entire face and then Magic Eye Rescue to the eye area. Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow was applied to create a flawless soft focus finish, which acted as the perfect base to the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation in 6 Medium (NEW – available in March 2016).

 

  1. Charlotte applied Charlotte Tilbury Mini Miracle Eye Wand in Shade 2 underneath the eyes, then used The Retoucher Concealer in 3 Medium where needed and rid the skin of any unwanted oils with a dusting of Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Skin Perfecting Micro-Powder in 3 Dark.
